It was a rainy day when it all began, young Garret sat at the window listening to the rain pitter-patter. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of crashing coming from downstairs. Garret raced downstairs to see where the crashing noises resonated, only (to his horror,) to find multiple puddles of blood. Garret called out for his mother and father only to have them not answer, he shivered from the musty and cold night.
He went downstairs into the kitchen trying to find his parents, only to find a gory and graphic scene in front of him. Not only were his parents dead, but they were mutilated beyond recognition, he felt himself wanting to scream, but all that came from him were dry croaks and screeching noises. He froze in horror as he heard the sound of heavy footsteps behind him, he thought it was most certainly the killer, the culprit of his parents' death.
He felt something heavy and strong land on his left shoulder. He froze and turned over to look at the shadowy man behind him. "It's all your fault," the man said in a creaky ominous voice. " it will always be your fault." The Voice sent shivers down Garret's spine, as it whispered into his ear. Garret then heard heavy footsteps wandering away from him, only once they seized, did he no longer remain frozen to his spot on the floor.
Garret fell down on his knees and as something hard came into contact with his head. He felt someone pick him up, and then everything faded to black. The familiar sight of the front patio of his house was the last thing that he remembers and would be the last thing of the outside world that he would ever see for a long time.
