Alex's POV.
It all started on my birthday. I was walking home from school, it was the first sunny day in weeks, I don't think it's going to last long though. I could see storm clouds in the sky. One of my best friends Ally snaps me out of my thoughts. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX" ally shouts while running towards me, "thank you" I say trying to hide my blush.
We walked home together and said goodbye.

I was walking with my Gordon setter ( it's A kind of dog) Balto through the woods near my house, I new that my mom was planning a surprise birthday party for my 17th birthday. My mom is terrible at keeping secrets, like when she told me that my dad went out to get milk and never came back I new she was lying so my mom straight up told me that he left when he found out that mom was pregnant. I was pretty far along the trail, 'I should start to head back home soon' I thought in side my head. Up ahead there where two older men in there early thirty's and late forty's, I got a gut wrenching feeling of dread getting stronger as they got closer, the younger looking men whispered something into the older mans ear. Every bone, muscle and fibre in my body told me to run, the older man grabbed a cloth that looked drenched in a liquid. At this point they where a few feet in front of me walking faster, Balto was barking louder
at the men. So I turned around and started to run as fast as I could, but they were faster. The older man grabbed me and put the cloth over my nose and mouth. I kicked and screamed but the more I did the more tired I got, after a minute or two everything went black.......
