Skater boy

Chapter 1

It was the last day of my freshmen year, and to be perfectly honest, I was pretty sad about school ending. I had made a lot of new friends that I couldn't see this summer.

"Hey sweetie! How was your day?" my mom said to me as I got into the car.

"good," I said, trying not to go into too much detail "could you drop me off at  Amelia's? She's having a party tonight"

"Sure hon, Don't get too drunk, you have to be home tomorrow, your brothers getting home at 2:00"

"Okay mom," I say as I'm getting out of the car.

As soon as I step foot into Amelia, my best friend since 6th grades house, I can tell that tonight's gonna be crazy. Her house looks like a night club.

"HEY OLIVIA!" Amelia yells when she notices me.

She's on the very top of her latter trying to hang up a some streamers. Her house looked absolutely amazing until I realized I'm gonna have to help her clean it up tomorrow because in return for her making sure I don't do anything stupid at her party, I get super crazy when i'm drunk.

"let me help you with those," I say after she almost falls off her latter. She's to short for this shit i swear to god.

"Thanks Liv," she says as she gets down to go put out drinks and solo cups on the counter.

"How many people did you even invite?" I say after i see the thousands of cups she puts on her counter

"Umm like both of the high schools and some of my 8th grade friends but there's probably gonna be more than that knowing what normally happens.

"Jesus  Amelia this is the biggest party you've thrown all year!"

Small backstory on Amelia, She loves throwing parties, and normally has a fuck ton of people there, so every time her parents are gone, she'll throw a party in her huge fucking mansion. Our deal is that she'll keep me from sleeping  with someone i'll regret when i'm drunk, and I'll help her clean up in the morning.

Amelia can tell that I'm having a tad bit of anxiety, so she tosses me her disposable.

"here take a hit, you'll feel better"

I do exactly what she says and it calms me down a little bit. I was diagnosed with anxiety when i was 11 and I haven't really been taking my meds lately so it's been worse.

I plop onto her couch and then she starts blasting country before people start showing up. We start dancing around her house and doing some dumb shit when i here the pizza guy knock on the door, I go to get the food and 10 minutes later we get a knock on the door. It was our other best friend Amber, she says hi comes in and immediately reaches for amelias disposable.

"Oh my god Amber you have one use your own" Amelia says as she snatches her puff bar from her hand. they both start laughing and I turn on the TV  when Amelia's brother storms down the stairs to get soda from the fridge.

"We have Claws you know," Amelia snarks at her brother. He ignores her like he usually does. When I was 11 I had the biggest crush on Jake, Amelia's brother, we used to hang out all the time and we got super close, but then he just stopped talking to me after he got a girlfriend. It was sad for a little while but I kind of got used to it.   

3 hours later and we get the first couple knocks on the door, it's some of Amelia's friends from Oak Ridge high school,  the school across town from ours that's way newer and much nicer.  About 10 minutes after they show up, most everybody else does. I go to grab a white claw from the fridge when I trip over somebody's skateboard right into someone's arms. I look up and see the hottest boy I've ever seen.

"Woah there" he says, I quickly get up after realizing who he was, his name was Leo Clements, one of the most popular guys at Oak Ridge.

"oh my god I'm so sor-"

"It's fine," he says. "hey what's your name? I don't think we've met,"

"I'm Olivia, you?" I say even though I know exactly who he is.

"I'm Leo, Leo Clements," he says, making direct eye contact with me.

"Where are you headed?" he says.

"I was gonna get a claw" I say as I think of an inside joke #clawlife. I start bursting of laughter and Leo is just staring at me in confusion. I then realize Ive made a fool of myself in front of the hottest and most popular guy at oak ridge. I just walk past him to the kitchen.

"hey girlie, saw you talking to Mc.hottie over there" Amelia says with a smile

"yeah hes pretty cute but I completely made a fool of myself" I say blushing.

Amelia gets distracted and goes to talk to some other people when I notice  Leo walking over to me again with some of his friends.

"hey why'd you storm off?" he said. Frozen of shock i stand there, silent.
