I was unable to sleep that night. I remember he told me he was going out to do his daily spray painting. He never came back. He hasn't sent me any texts. I told my dad to go out and look for him, but he could never find my twin brother. We looked exactly alike. I had a blonde ponytail and he had a blonde mohawk. We were inseparable. I mean, we had an older brother but we didn't really care about him as much as we cared about each other. Now it's just me and my dog against the world. I named my dog Kitsune because she had a very Fox-like personality. I sighed before I closed my eyes. I hoped I could get some sleep for at least an hour. Did I? Yes, yes I did. I slept for almost a whole day. I eventually learned how to move on in life. Once I reached high school, I was taught how to survive in the world. I moved on from my brother, but it wasn't easy. I couldn't make any friends because the people never really seemed to fit me. My brother was such a class clown in elementary school. I was always the quiet kid. I still am, but now I look more like a badass. Why? Well, it was the first day of ninth grade. My brother was already long gone, so it was just me. I was dressed like a preppy school girl like always. I didn't expect the day to go so wrong. A girl in my class came up to me. She looked like a slut.. probably because she was one. I remember what she told me..

"Hey Ashley~" She smirked.
I smiled sweetly because I was a sweetheart back then, "Hi!"
The girl snickered, "I heard you're doing better without Caleb!"
I nodded, "Yep!"

I know it wasn't a big deal, but she was mocking me about him. We're gonna skip to lunchtime.. that's where the real action happens.

I calmly walked over to the girl and her slutty friends. I was happy they were my new 'friends.' "Welcome, Ashley!" The girl grinned mischievously. I smiled. I opened my mouth to say something before they started talking about my brother. They were making fun of him. "Who the hell even uses spray paint?!" "What BOY even makes art?!" They we're laughing hysterically. Suddenly, I felt adrenaline rush up to my arms, causing them to shake. I grabbed one of the girl's heads and bashed it into the table mercilessly. I grabbed a lunch tray and smacked another dead in the face. The girl that was picking on me the most looked scared. I glared at her, "You're next, bitch." I said quietly before I punched her right in the nose. According to the school nurse, I broke it. I doubt I did since the school nurse is insanely dramatic. I was sent home that day. My parents scolded me and sent me to my room. I sat on my bed, crying. My older brother walked into my room, "Heard you got into a fight." He smirked. I looked up at him, "I'm sorry.." He chuckled, "Don't be. You just need to toughen up a little." He smiled. I didn't say anything back to him, which caused him to leave the room. His words repeated in my mind. I immediately had an idea. I would have to change up my appearance. I went into my bathroom, grabbed the clippers, and gently touched my head. A whole strand of hair fell off. I grinned and cut more. And by the end, half my hair was shaved up. The other half was flipped to the side. I looked at myself in the mirror with a brave smirk, "Perfect."
