"Lu wake up! Wake up!" I yell as I shake my sister. She groans and rolls over. "They're here, Lu, there here!" She bolted up. "They are?!" she said incredulously. "Yes!" I agreed, confirming her suspicion.
She hurried to get her clothes on before we both charged downstairs to grab our letters, our Hogwarts Letters! "3, 2, 1!" we both yelled and tore open our letters.
Dear Ms. Lyra N. Lovegood,
You have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed in this letter you will find your ticket for platform nine and three quarters where you will leave for school. The first day is on September 1st.
Also enclosed you will find a list of items you need to get in Diagon Ally.

I looked up at my sister, she looked worried," Lyr, your hair," I sighed and looked at it, it was bright yellow quickly turning purple, then blue. which meant excited to annoyed to disappointed. just then my mother came in and sighed, "Lyr, you have to get this under control!" she started in an exasperated tone," we have invited Dumbledore over for breakfast to consider the best plan for school this year.
I am Lyra Neromile Lovegood. I have a twin sister Luna Lovegood, who is the opposite of me, but my best friend. I am a Metamorphmagus and Seer, I wish I wasn't. My whole life my only friend has been my sister, of course, she was allowed out but I had orders not to tell anyone or let anyone find out, it's really easy to find out so our parents said we should keep me at home. I have blond hair with light brown roots and my hair fades into light blue at the bottom. I have piercing blue green eyes with gold specks. My pale skin is usually covered in scrapes and bruises from running through the woods.
That was actually okay because Luna, or Lu as I call her, stays at home with me. We do everything together and were each other's best friends and opposites.
Note: I am only a kid and this is my first story.
