You woke up Monday morning prepared to talk to Kakyoin again; but not before you coaxed an apology out of him of course. He had given up on texting you half way through the day yesterday, understanding that he had pissed you off and it would be better if he didn't bother you. Today was different though. You were still a little mad, but after thinking it over and talking to your mother, (against your will) you tried to keep an optimistic mind set.

When you left the house, you hadn't expected to see Kakyoin waiting at the street corner for you. He was looking down at his shoes, kicking at something on the ground. You jogged over to him, the sound of your bag bouncing against your hip alerting him to your presence.

"Y/n!" his head snapped up.

"You waited for me?" you slowed your pace as you approached him, stopping when you stood in front of him.

"Y-yeah," he looked away from you, a light blush coming over his cheeks. "I'm really sorry about Saturday. I didn't mean to ditch you, but something important really did come up. I wouldn't have left you alone if i didn't have to and I hope you know that."

"That's all?"

Kakyoin's cheeks grew a deeper red, "I-I'm sorry for not sticking up for you either. I really do like the nickname you gave me, a-and I scolded Jotaro for making it seem stupid when we left! I already told him to apologize when he sees you at school too."

Kakyoin returned his gaze to yours, and you could see the sincerity in his words. Although you weren't very happy about his implication of seeing Jotaro later, you decided to let it slide for now. He had apologized without much push from your side, and you genuinely appreciated that, though you'd never admit it out loud.

You reached your hand up and flicked the cherry lover's forehead, "Idiot."

He smiled at you, knowing that was Y/n talk for 'I forgive you.' The two of you walked to school together as normal, being able to hold a conversation with all the awkwardness of previous days gone. For the first time since he had returned, it truly felt as though you had your friend back. The comforting warmth of the sun that enveloped your body only made your mood better.

You arrived to school with time to spare before class, managing to make it to both your and Kakyoin's lockers without bumping into Jotaro.

"Want me to buy you lunch today in order to make up for ditching you?" Kakyoin offered.

"Could you stop saying you ditched me? That makes it sound a lot worse than it was," you laughed awkwardly. "Just say you had to leave early or something."

"Right."

"But since you've so graciously offered," you flung your arms out to the side. "I will accept a lunch bought by the one and only Noriaki Kakyoin."

You stepped in front of your friend, bowing slightly to him as a mock sign of thank. He brought the back of his hand up to his mouth as he laughed at you, but you could still see the corners of his mouth poke out from the side.

"What are you laughing at?" A frown instantly graced your features when you heard a familiar voice behind you. You turned around, shooting Jotaro a dirty look.

"Nothing you'd get since you don't have a sense of humor."

"Y/n!" Kakyoin tried to scold, but his personality failed him as he was still laughing at your earlier joke.

"And I'm supposed to apologize to her? I think I'm the one that deserves an apology," Jotaro rolled his eyes.

"Like you'd accept an apology even if I offered you one, you depressing giant," you stuck your tongue out.

"Tch, you're such a child," the taller scoffed.

"At least I have a personality," you huffed, crossing your arms over your chest.

Kakyoin watched in slight amazement as his two friends bickered like children. He tried to stifle a laugh, but failed in the end. He folded over, clutching his stomach as he laughed loudly at you and Jotaro's verbal battle. Both of you looked at him, brows raised in confusion. This only made him laugh more as you were wearing the exact same expression as the person you claimed to despise.

"I don't understand why the two of you can't get along," he chuckled. "You guys are literally the same person just in different bodies!"

Your eyes drifted from Kakyoin to the boy standing besides you, and his did the same. You had to admit it was a little strange how you two were acting in sync for the past few minutes, but you told yourself it was just a coincidence.

"I'm not like him at all," you spat, shoving your thumb into Jotaro's chest.

He pushed your hand away, narrowing his eyes. "Are you saying I'm as annoying as this bitch?"

Kakyoin couldn't help but laugh again, but soon his face grew serious. "I know you guys don't like each other now, but I'm sure you'll learn to get along in the future. Now, you two better apologize to each other for everything  up until now. I won't talk to either of you until you do." Your friend crossed his arms, leaning slightly into his hip as if he were a mother scolding his younger children.

You eyed Jotaro from the corner of your vision. "Sorry for making fun of you I guess," you mumbled through pouted lips.

"Sorry you're such a dumbass," Jotaro muttered.

"Hey! That's not an apology!" You turned to Kakyoin. "Nori! Jotaro didn't even give me a proper apology!"

"I know it doesn't sound like one, but that's probably the best you're gonna get out of him for the time being. You're gonna have to accept it or get over it," the red haired boy gave you a sympathetic smile.

You rolled your eyes, glaring up at Jotaro in the process. He had pulled his hat over his face as if he were hiding something. Curious, you bent over slightly to see under the brim. Jotaro was looking away from both you and Kakyoin, a light tint of pink across his cheeks and nose. You stood back up, shaking your head and clapping your face between your hands, earning a confused look from Kakyoin.

Maybe you were still a bit tired, because there was no way in hell the Jotaro Kujo would ever blush. Especially not over something as dumb as a shitty-ily worded apology.
