"Come on Cain, hurry up! We're gonna be late." The blonde lady whined as she tugged on her brother's sleeve. "The garden center's gonna be open any minute now!!" She added. "Oh please, Angel.. It's only six in the morning. Why are we going so early? I haven't even had my cup of coffee." Cain yawned, it was supposed to be a lazy Sunday for him. He should've been sleeping in, enjoying the weekend but no, he was being dragged all the way to some garden shop he couldn't care less about.

The sun wasn't even up yet, a few joggers were passing by, and to top it all off, the cold morning breeze was enough to freeze your limbs if you weren't wearing thick sweaters. The only thing he liked about these mornings was the fact that everything would be calm for a little while.

Time went on slowly as he was slowly dozing off the long walk, and if it weren't for his sister dragging him, he'd probably be talking a nap on the cold hard concrete. It's weird, though. He thought, if anything, I'd have expected this to happen while we were still in school, like I'd be dragged all the way into the classroom. Time passes quickly, doesn't it?

"We're here!" Angelica said, instantly snapping a drowsy Cain out of his half-nap.

The garden center was lit by the slithers of the sunrise, decorating every bush, sapling, and flowers that were caught in it's rays with a lovely shine. "I wasn't really expecting this, but alright." He said, taking his time with admiring the greenery as the ever-so-energetic Angelica complained in the background.

"Where is she?? She's supposed to be here like I told her. Hmph!" she said, walking around looking at every place where she might be.

"Maybe if we came here a little later than literally right now, she'd be here." Cain scoffed, "Besides, you guys only crossed each other's paths like, a week ago and now you're acting like you're an impatient child who wants the cookies from the shelf?", "Sure, we've only just seen each other recently but I've really missed her! What if she disappears again like last time?? I don't want that to happen again, would I?" She said as she kept looking around.

Last time. "Disappears" like last time?

Those words kept repeating in his mind, like an echo from a distant memory. It wasn't bad, but really made him think.

Yeah.. Why did she disappear like last time?

A/N: First chapter done! I can't believe I've stayed up until 12:15am just to write this lol.. Hopefully I can update more later in the morning.
