Ruri (short for a stupidly long name that is a running joke in the novel) is a not-so-vegetarian, not-so-humble bowman from the Forests of Almysia. He enjoys wining, dining and women almost as much as he likes himself. A former clergyman before he left the forestlands and thus making up for the time he lost as a carefree young man. Something of an inappropriate comedian. Has commitment issues.
