So today is the day. I have my bags packed and I'm waiting for my mom at the security check. We all my parents wanted to move to China because life in America was getting boring for them. I didn't want to leave. I wanted to be here in Texas with my friends and family. But it was my parents choice. My mom got a job at an international school and my dad was starting his own business. I was going to be a junior at the school my mom was working at. My mom finally got back and we went through security. The plane was going to board any minute. We were almost going to miss it. We all ran through the airport and got to our plane just in time. Everyone sat in their own spots. My mom and dad got to sit together and I sat more up front. I saved up money to get more leg room because I can't handle tight spaces. Before the plane took off my mom came to see me.

Mom: hey Harper(my name) how are you doing so far
Me: oh I'm great now but you should ask me in 15 HOURS WHEN I GET OFF THIS PLANE
Mom: oh honey don't be dramatic it's 14 hours and 24 minutes plus you have a lot of things you can do.
Me: yeah well in 5 hours I'm going to run out of things to do
Mom: then you can just watch movies
Speaker: OK FOLKS WE WILL BE TAKING OFF IN A FEW MOMENTS SO PLEASE GET SEATED AND BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELTS!
Mom: ok honey have fun

Mom left so I was alone. To be honest. I was panicking. I had major anxiety issues. But I don't talk about them to my parents because I don't want them to worry. Usually when my anxiety gets really bad, I start to panic. That's when my friends come in to help me. But here on this plane, or even in China. I don't know how much I can handle.

The flight took off and I tried my best not to stress out too much. I watched some movies and everything was fine. Then turbulence came. I was afraid the plane would crash and I was terrified. I grabbed my arm rest and held it as tight as I could. After a few minutes which felt like a few hours. It stopped. I was so relieved. Everything calmed down. I thought I would sleep so I wouldn't be awake through the next turbulence. So I shut my eyes.

I ended up sleeping through three quarters of the flight. I was very happy with myself. I had about five more hours to go and I didn't think I was going to sleep again. I ended up watching movies the rest of the time. The flight attendants gave us food and drinks. I got chicken spaghetti with a fruit salad and bread. The food wasn't that good but I ate it all anyway.

We started landing. I didn't know how to feel. I was excited to be in such a new place. I was also very angry that I was here my friends meant so much to me and I just couldn't handle being so far away from them. I also wondered what my school would be like. I hoped people would like me but I wasn't sure if they really would.

We landed and I looked out the window. It was dark here. It was about 8:00pm. Outside of my window I saw a totally different world. I was here....in China........
