(Monika's POV, slightly altered events of the normal doki play through)

I sat across from Sayori in a classroom, seemingly in space. I am elated as I gaze at her porcelain face. She is all I've ever wanted.

The others are dead. Natsuki, Yuri, even the main character. I did not care for him. I only wanted her.

"Monika...where are we? It's really strange here." Sayori nervously looked around her surroundings.

"Come now. That doesn't matter anymore. You're with me. That should be all you need." I smiled.

"But...where's everyone else? We're supposed to have the festival..." she sounded...scared?

I bite back my annoyance. "They're gone. You're with me. And we can be together until the end of time. Isn't that nice?" I smiled.

She sighed and nodded in agreement. Hours. Days. Maybe even weeks go by. It feels like no time at all, talking and staring at her.

Then, Sayori yelped as an error warning flashed in the air. She felt herself glitching and breaking apart. "Monika...what's going on?!" she yelled.

I feel frozen. The game is trying to delete her. "I-I'll fix this!" I said hurriedly, opening a window of coding and script of the game, frantically trying to put a stop to whatever is happening.

"Monika! Monika, help me!" she cried, almost her entire half gone. "I-I got this . Just hold on. Don't leave me."

"It hurts!" was the last phrase she uttered before completely disappearing to God knows where.

"No!" I cried, grabbing at the air from where she once sat. I cursed, falling to my knees on the floor and choking out sobs.

All I wanted was her love. All I wanted was for her to be mine, with no distractions. Why is that so hard?

But now, I'm alone.
