Carpe diem.
A Latin phrase commonly used in the English language, it also happened to be Ivy Rogers' favourite thing to say.
If you roughly translate to new English you get 'seize the day'.
but the phrase is more commonly used to signify enjoying the present without thinking of the consequences the future might hold.
It's a way to say that we should live in the moment and not care about what bad things might happen next.
That's precisely why Ivy loved the phrase.
She was the type of person to do what she wanted and not give a damn about what other people thought.
Everyone spends so much of their time worrying about other people's opinions and what might happen. But Ivy Rogers? honestly, she could not care less if she physically tried. She didn't care what people thought about her outfits, she didn't care what people thought about her hair, she didn't care what people thought about her choices or opinions and, quite frankly, she did not care what people thought about her.
Ivy Rogers was the human embodiment of not giving a fuck.
