Venice's POV
"All packed up sis?"
Nabigla ako nang marinig ko ang boses ni Ate Vien sa labas ng kwarto ko. Napatayo ako at binuksan ang pintuan at pinapasok siya. Agad naman siyang pumasok sa loob at umopo sa kama ko not taking her eyes of my neck.
"Of course ate, you know I'm always ready" sambit ko sabay kindat sa kanya. "Eh ang pagiging broken mo, pinaghandaan mo ba?" pabalik niyang sabi sa akin habang nakatingin sa leeg ko. Potangina suot ko pala yung locket.
"Pumasok ka ba dito para kamustahin ako o para inisin ako?" I said while glaring at her. I took of the locket at agad kong itinago ito sa handbag ko.
"I was just trying to make you smile lil sis." she said while looking at me. "Ang dami mong pinagdaanan dito sa Iligan, ano na kaya sa Davao? Wala pa naman ako doon at saka wala ka pang mga kaibigan don. You only have that old man there. I'm worried for you Venice." she said with concerend eyes.
Half sister ko si Ate Vien. My father cheated through her mother, Mama Sally that resulted my own mother getting a heart attack noong nalaman niya lahat ng toh. I hated them at first pero sila ang kumopkop at umalaga sa akin noong nawawala sa sarili si Papa. And now I'm a part of their family.
"Okay lang sa akin ate, ano ba." sabi ko sabay dalagang pilipina pose para mapagaan ko ang pakiramdam niya.
"You really are a strong woman Venice, nakakayanan mo pa magpatawa kahit grabe kang nasasaktan ngayon. Don't fool me because I have been there." she said to me while carresing my hair with tears forming in her eyes.
"I know na malakas ka but don't hesitate to open up to me Serena."
Fuck that name again.
"Wag mong gamitin ang pangalang ya-bakit? kasi yan yung tawag niya sayo?" she chuckled. "I really know you Venice. Ang dali mong mabasa." she said while flipping her hair.
"Really? Psh ang hirap ko kayang mabasa sabi ng mga classmates ko." I said while looking at her.
"Well I'm not your classmate, I'm your sister." sambit niya sabay tayo. "Make sure na nadala mo na lahat ng kailangan mo." she started walking towards the door. "Hays ate kahapon ko pa yan nagaw-and leave things that will make you stay." she cutted me off.
"Leave things that are unnecessary Venice, including that feelings of yours."
She stopped and looked at me carefully. She smilled and closed the door and went away. My tears fell down when I recalled what she said.
"Unnecessary my ass" I said while smilling bitterly.
I guess I have to leave these unnecessary feelings behind. My feelings for you my Captain.
