Once Upon a Time Forest OC

"Come on, Amelia. It tastes very good!" Her newest owner of 2 months promised, holding the honey cake to Isabella's lips. She held it there for another moment before shrugging it and eating it herself. Sighing mentally, she stared ahead, barely seeing the top of her owner's head as the girl adjusted her threadbare rabbit to sit up straighter. Bella could hear heavy steps walk toward the curtained-off section and flickered her eyes quickly to the entrance. The father came in with a grim look on his face. The little girl looked at her father and her joy diminished and her smile thinned out.

"Come Lilliana. Bring Amelia with you." He said in a stern voice. Lilliana's lower lip pouted out but she obediently stood up and grabbed Isabella, holding her to her hip awkwardly. Isabella's curiosity was peaked as they traveled to the front of the house. In the entranceway, there was waiting a creature that looked like a man but his skin sparkled like gold. Lilliana faltered in her step and her grip tightened on the doll. The creature gave a teeth-baring grin.

"Why hello, dearie!" Lilly stuttered out her greeting and hid behind her father's legs. The father crossed his arms and tried to look unthreatened by the creature standing before them. The creature cackled and clapped his hands together. Bella could see him clearly now as Lilly turned her so her back was clutched to her chest in comfort and they both silently watched. His smile was a bit frightening, more baring of teeth than anything and his eyes had the gleam of someone who had gone mad.

"Are we finishing our deal, Rumpelstiltskin?" The father asked gruffly. Rumpelstiltskin looked at him than at Lilly appraisingly.

"I'm sure she'll do just fine." Lilly gasped at his words and stepped back. Lilly's father shook his head.

"Calm down. He's not talking about you." He snapped. Lilly, and the doll she held, minds swirled with confusion. There wasn't another girl in the small cottage at the moment, so who did the creature mean? Rumpelstiltskin stepped forward and pointed a finger at Lilly's chest.

"I'm talking about that doll you have in your very hands, dearie. There's powerful magic surrounding it and I want it." Lilly shook her head and stepped further back.

"No! She's my friend! You can't have her." Lilly whispered, clutching Bella so tightly against her. Lilly's father grunted in annoyance and pulled Bella away from his daughter easily.

"Behave! She'll give us the life we always wanted! It's a cheap price so don't be selfish!" He snapped and pushed Bella to Rumpelstiltskin, taking care in the handling to not appear to insult the Dark One. Lilly began crying and tried to reach for her best friend but her father held her back as he looked into the creature's eyes.

"Do we have a deal?"

"Yes, yes. Tomorrow morning, you shall have all the gold you'll need for a new startup." Rumplestiltskin muttered, looking at the doll in a better light. Bella's mind was slightly panicking. This hasn't happened since the very beginning, she hadn't been sold in years. And she really didn't like the experience the first time, much less right now. She very much preferred the children she kept in company over this strange man who wanted to do who knows what with her. But she couldn't do anything about it and that was the most frustrating thing. All she could do was hope that the curse reactivated and make her disappear into a new house as soon as possible. His smile grew as he found what he was looking for and tucked her under his arm.

"A pleasure doing business with you." He swirled in his hand as he bowed and quickly disappeared in a cloud of smoke, Lilly calling out for Amelia slowly fading. They appeared in an overly huge room with a long dining table and Rumplestiltskin placed Bella on it. He rearranged her arms to cross over the skirt of her dress and gleefully clapped.

"This is such an interesting spell cast on you, dearie!" Bella's mind eyes widened at his words. He nodded as if he could understand her.

"Yes, yes. I know that there is a spell and luckily since I am the Dark One." He trilled, looking smug, "I can reverse it. But for a price. Would you like to make a deal with me?" Bella stared helplessly at him. She didn't know how to tell him that she agreed! She would do whatever task, pay whatever price just to not be a doll! She just wanted to be a girl again. But luckily, Rumpelstiltskin was overconfident and knew what she would choose. His visions told him what she wanted anyway. He walked back towards her and gave her his creepy grin.
