Sunflower Tea

CHAPTER 1: INTERMISSON

It was a hot summer day and I had just finished up unpacking and setting my new house up. I decided to put up an ad on craigslist for a room mate since I had one completely empty room and I decided I didn't want to live alone. I smiled once I saw that the ad had been posted and I sighed, looking at the time. 7:02pm. I got up and went to my kitchen table grabbing my car keys and driving to a fast food place and ordering a salad and large soda then headed home and ate. I didn't want to go shopping for food this late at night so once I got home I quickly ate then I took a long hot shower and laid in bed then set an alarm on my phone for when I had to wake up and then I left reality and went into the dream world.

The next morning I was awoken by the loud ringing of my alarm. I sat up and groaned, unsatisfied that I had been awoken from my sweet dream. I got up and went to the bathroom, brushing my teeth and the going to my closet and grabbing my work uniform that I had gotten from my new part time job at a diner yesterday. It was a short, pale blue dress that had a white collar and a white apron. I got dressed and put on a pair of white knee high socks and black Mary Jane shoes. I went into my bathroom and put my hair up into a tight high pony tail and tied a black ribbon into a bow around the hair tie. I did my makeup with just a bit of shiny copper coloured eyeshadow and eye liner and then some fake eyelashes since my eyelashes are basically transparent. I then walked downstairs and grabbed my keys, leaving and going to work.

I had gotten a tour of the diner yesterday afternoon and I walked into the break room, greeting my new co-workers with a friendly smile and making myself a cup of coffee. I tapped one of the girls shoulders and she looked at me with a questioning look. I smiled brightly at her "So what should I do first?" she smiled a little "Well you could start off by cleaning all the tables and chairs and once someone comes in you can take their order." I nodded ambitiously and grabbed the cleaning supplies and then headed into the front of the diner, cleaning every table and chair, an the bar stools and such.

Just a few minutes after I had finished and magnificent looking boy walked into the diner and he sat down at the counter. I smiled and walked over to him "What can I get you?" I asked with a small smile. He looked at me with his endless silver eyes and said in a quiet and calm voice "Just a cup of coffee. Nothing in it. Just black coffe." I nodded "Coming right up!" I went and got his coffee and gave it to him. He gave me a small smile, paid me, finished his coffee, then the beautiful boy left as quick as he came.
