| (Y/n) POV |
I slowly opened my (e/c) eyes, groaning as the bright morning sun shined in my tired eyes. I slowly sat up, looking down at my pajamas before looking at my alarm clock that sat on my white nightstand. My eyes grew wide as I realized I was gonna be late for school.
I quickly jumped out of my bed and started to get dressed into my uniform. The first day of school for me was a week ago and I already managed to make a name for myself, a bad one at that.
I was late three times and fell asleep in most of my classes the second day, most of my teachers were NOT impressed by this. This school is a lot different from the one I previously went to, it was a Catholic school and I hated it so I transferred out of it.
I looked in my full body mirror seeing the current condition of my still sleepy body. God I looked like a mess, my (h/c) hair was a huge mess and the bags under my eyes haven't disappeared yet.
I put my hands on the small of my back before leaning back to hear a small crack, immediately feeling relief once I heard the crack.
I pulled my hair back into a low and loose ponytail, the smaller strands of my hair already fell out o the ponytail. I sighed in defeat knowing I couldn't do much about my hair at the moment.
I turned away from the mirror, a small black figure moving in the corner of my eye making me stop in my tracks. I tightly closed my eyes, standing still as I felt something move closer, Why now?! I thought as I felt a tingle go down my spine.
I jumped as I heard a knock on my door, the presence almost immediately left as the person knocked on my door. I slowly opened my eyes seeing Klohoma opening my door, "H-Hey..Are you ready yet?" she asked timidly.
Klohoma was very reserved and rarely spoke to anyone besides me and my mother. I looked down at my school uniform before nodding and walking out.
I glanced over at my friend, seeing the two orbs surround her. You see me and Klohoma are gifted you could say, we were born as mediums who are people that can see, touch, and speak to the undead.
The difference between me and her is that she's a dominant medium meaning that she got it from her mother so she gets the ability to have guardians which are spirits that protect mediums.
It's easier for her to find guardians since she's practically a magnet. I got this trait from my great grandmother who is now dead.
Klohoma smiled at me before saying, "Was it there again? Oba keeps telling me to let her take care of it." I nodded in response to her question. She was referring to the presence from before which has been following me for about two weeks now.
Something I should mention is that her guardians have the ability to possess her and get rid of spirits, but because she can't control this she has to cover her right eye so no other spirit possesses her. Sadly I don't have this ability yet, I need a guardian first.
We started to walk out of my house and to school. Sadly Klohoma and I don't go to the same school anymore, her step mom is very religious so she refused to let Klohoma go to that "demon" school as she calls it.
"Come by after school okay? We can hang out on the roof if you want." She glanced over at me, a frown on her face as she nodded, "I know you are still grieving but what are the chances that you're gonna run into him again?" I asked.
