•Kai's POV•

Run.

Was the only thought in my mind. Well, aside from surviving that is. I began running out of breath, my vision starting to blur as I continued to run. I never thought I could run this quickly, but being in such a dangerous postion like this triggers something inside that causes one to do things they never imagined themselves doing.

I looked behind me still running quite fast, and saw the monstrous figure closing in on me. Shit. I began running quicker now, the figure still right on my tail.

What do I do!?

It got closer.

And closer.

With my vision almost completely blurry, my legs weak, and my breathing becoming heavier; although I didn't need to breathe; all I could focus on was the one thought swimming around in my brain.. Survive.

I was running so fast and my breathing became much more heavier to the point where I had no idea on where I was going. All I could think was surviving.

Before I knew it the monstrous figure was right behind me. It was so close to the point where I could hear its every breath.

I was too focused on my thoughts to survive that I didn't pay attention to my surroundings. And next thing I knew I was on the cold hard ground, some kind of warm-ish liquid was on my face.

Blood.

I turned around and saw it.

The large monstrous figure, right here, in front of me. I couldn't move. I was practically paralyzed.

Then..

It lunged at me.

"I don't understand why you think school is so bad Kai." My older brother, Kain, said with a frustrated sigh while I just sat on my bed that was sitting in the midde of my pitch black room.

"And you won't understand Kain." I hissed. "That school is full of loud, annoying, unbearably nasty humans!" I looked up at my older brother who was now standing in front of me. "I hate them!" I said in a low, angry hiss.

Kain sighed in frustration, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Seriously Kai.. What is so bad about humans?" He asked and I just laughed drly.

"Did you not just hear what I said!? Humans are nothing but disgustingly annoying as-" kain cut me off before I could continue.

"You can't just judge them because of how some of them act," I raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay, how most of them act. But what I'm trying to say is, you are just like them-" I scoffed. "Y'know what. I'm done. I'm done trying to convince you that humans aren't as bad as you think when you never even bother to care! I'm done!" Kain spoke angrily. He usually never gets angry or mad at me and I do plenty of things that could piss him off.

Kain let out a frustrated sigh. "Just go to school Kai. What's the worst that could happen?" And with that said Kain walked out before I could reply.

__________

Y'know how my brother said "what's the worst that could happen?" Well, I kind of wish he wouldn't have asked that because there is a new kid this year. And ohhh boy do I have a bad feeling about him.

"What do you mean Kai?" Sasha asked tiredly.

Sasha was a pretty girl, she had long raven hair with dark red streaks in it, beautiful bright blue eyes, a cute smile, braces on her white teeth. She wasn't short but she wasn't tall either.
