Hello, my name is Jake Myers. I work as an author. Well, I actually work as an officer in Milwaukee. But I do write True crime stories. Like about Theodore Bundy. Or Jeffrey Dahmer. I use a pen name. Michael Patterson. Just incase

Sure, I seem paranoid, but it's for my jobs sake. You're probably wondering why I'm writing this. Well something happened I can't explain a bit ago, and no one believes me. I need someone to help me. Am I going crazy?

So last night I was sitting on my couch. My old dog, Pumpkin, was snuggled up next to me. I was watching Doctor Sleep. Pumpkin started barking at the door. It confused me because she had never done this before. I hugged her and tried to calm her down. But she kept barking. I was so tired when I got home, so I didn't change. I grabbed my gun and went to the door.

When I opened the door, there was no one. Nothing. I did something stupid. The dumbest thing anyone in any horror movie could do. I walked out into the hallway. I did look both ways before walking down the hallway though.

After looking, I went back to my apartment. I closed and locked (including all the dead bolts) my door. I had to use the restroom so I did. I finished my business, I washed my hands. I looked up from my hands, and into the mirror. I saw something from a horror movie. My throat closed up. I fainted. As I hit the floor, I could hear Pumpkin's barking through the ringing in my ears.

When I awoke, I was standing over my sink. I looked at my hands. They had so much blood on them, that I wanted to vomit. I looked at my body. I was only in my boxers. Blood ran down my chest.

I turned and saw my neighbor's mutilated body in my tub. What is happening?! I covered my mouth. I was terrified. I looked down my hall. I had closed the bathroom door before. It looked like the backrooms. I couldn't see the end. Then I saw that thing. Fear rushed through my body as it ran at me.
