Olivia
I feel like my stomach is in my throat. I'm sitting in a waiting room for a chance to be a part of the new High School Musical project. Honestly, I'm terrified of what's to come. My leg was bouncing up and down, I was messing with the edges of my script, biting my lip, and playing with my fingers. Basically, any nervous habit I had was making an appearance.

"Don't stress so much, you'll do fine," my best friend Madison told me.

"Thanks, that's really what I need to hear right now."

"Don't worry, after this, we can pick up Ethan and go get ice cream to take your mind off of things." Ethan was my boyfriend that I met on Bizaardvark.

"You always know just what to say, don't you?" I said to her, smiling.

"Olivia Rodrigo?" AAAAHH!!! It's my turn.

"You'll do fine," Madi says. She gives me a good luck hug, and I walk into a separate room. I went in and saw a few people and a boy who looked bored out of his mind. I would be too if I had to be in this little room all day. He's kinda cute, I probably shouldn't be thinking that though. Something about him gave me a sense of familiarity.

"Hello, my name is Tim Federle. I am the creator of the show, and this is Joshua Bassett. He's going to be doing a chemistry read with you today because he's been cast as Ricky. First, why don't you start and tell us a little about yourself," the man in the middle said to me as he was extending his hand.

I always found it awkward to talk about myself, but it was part of the process. "Hi, I'm Olivia Rodrigo. I'm 15 and have played Grace in 'An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success' and currently star as Paige in Disney Channel's 'Bizaardvark'." I tried to sound as calm as possible without giving away the immense amount of panic that I was feeling on the inside.

"Ok, and what will you be singing for us?" Tim asked me.

"I will be singing 'Price Tag' by Jessie J," I stated.

"Well, take it away," he tells me.

I started singing, and I don't think I did awful. It was nice with so few people in the room. That can be better or worse. I finished singing and everyone was clapping. I had to fight back the blush that was creeping up.

"That was amazing Olivia!" Tim exclaimed. "Now, you are going to be doing a scene with Josh here. The page should already be highlighted." I nod my head in response. I open my script and quickly glance down the page, hoping I don't have to use it much.

"Hi," the curly-haired boy said, extending his hand. "Josh," he introduced himself. He looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out why.

"Nice to meet you." I return the handshake. For some reason, his hand felt kinda... nice?

"Alright, are you both ready?" Tim asks. We both look at each other and nod.

"Yup," Josh says.

"Ok, and action!"

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Auditioning?" Josh says.

"You hate musicals. You got us kicked out of 'The Greatest Showman' because you kept yelling 'That's not realistic!' at the screen," I say in an annoyed tone.

"That was the old me. The new me thinks musicals are... awesome."

"Ok. Well, let me tell you about the old me. Alright, the old me had her heartbroken," I say, making my voice crack. "Ok, and then she went away, and she found herself. And you don't get to show up now. Just to try and... confuse things."
