I don's usually go to loud concerts, but Bastille would be an exception. It all started one evening, when I landed from my flight to America. I came to see my first concert, at a doom days club night in Los Angelos, California and I check in to room 107 at a fancy hotel down town. Its 7:00pm. After I get settled in with my suitcase, I walk downstairs to the hotel lounge to get a drink at the bar.
I sat down on one of those tall leather seats that spin around in front of the drink display. A tall Caucasian waiter walks over to me and asks me, "hi, welcome to the bar. My name is Adam and I will be serving you today. What can I take for your order?" I reply, "one glass of champagne please."
I hear a familiar voice fade behind me, saying, "drinks are on me, Dan!". I turn around. My thought begin to invade me. Omfg. There they are. That's THE Dan Smith!
"Miss, miss, here is your order!" I feel a tap on my right shoulder as Adam's voice fades back in. "Miss Rose, are you alright?" Jeez Cheryl, snap out of it. "Sorry, what?" "Miss, here is one glass of champagne you ordered." "Oh, thanks," I reply as I give my credit card for payment. Adam begins to walk away.Did I just space out? What is wrong with me?
I begin to sip my champagne. I think someone is watching me. I turn my head to my right. And there is Dan. His bright blue eyes lock into my gaze. Why is he staring at me? I get out of my seat with my glass and walk over to Dan and Kyle. "Hey handsome," I say flirtatiously to Dan as I glimpse at his fluffy hair and pet him like a dog. Dan chuckles. "Hey." "What's your name?" Adam walks over and gives me back my credit card.
"I am Cheryl Rose. I know who you are. You're Dan Smith from Bastille right?" "I am," chuckled Dan. Kyle grins. "I am Kyle, the pianist in the band." He winks at me. "What brings you here?" I reply, "I am actually here to see one of your concerts at the club 2 blocks away. I got front seats." I click my tongue. "Sweet!" Says Dan, sounding excited. "See you there!" He clicks his tongue and winks at me.
I blush as I turn around. I finish my champagne and head back upstairs. I jump in my bed and grin.
To be continued....
