"Ade, save me!", Jennifer yelled as she was pulled by Obatala high up in the air. "No!!!", Ade called desperately trying to reach her, he turned and noticed giant soldiers dressed in ancient Yoruba attire each holding a sword, chasing down on him. Filled with rage, his eyes sparked with lightning creating a thunderous blast while his body shone like the sun as lightning struck ferociously. He flew high and grabbed Obatala by the neck. The vicious god retaliated landing a heavy blow on Ade's temple.
"What have you done?!", Jennifer said as Ade fell with a large thud onto the ground. "So long brother, you'll never be King of the gods, I will!", the god added as he disappeared out of sight.

Five Weeks earlier
It was a busy day at Ikeja High. Students walked hastily to their classes to prevent being late and staffs were going on with their daily duties. "Ugh...", Ade sighed as he stared at the school premises from the library," What a busy day, I haven't got time for my assignment." "What assignment?", asked Uche, his friend. "You know it now...", Ade replied with a long face,"Explain Yoruba Mythology in full details." "Oh, is it that home work?", Uche asked with a doubtful look on his face. "Haba... Weren't you in class, of course he gave us an assignment on History.",said Ade with a grin on his face.
Uche was used to skipping classes most especially Mathematics and History. He hates subjects that involves too much numbers. "Me, at History class?...", He replied with a sarcastic look,"I hate history mehn, can't memorize those years and whack names." Ade laughed cause he knew he was the exact opposite of his friend. "So, how far about Jennifer?", Uche whisphered,"Haven't you asked her out yet?" "Uche c'mon!", Ade replied with a smile.
They turned and saw Jennifer just signing into the library. "Woah, Ade, that girl is hot!", Uche said with beamy eyes. "Oh, quit it.", retorted Ade, not having any feeling towards her. "Go meet her boy, she likes you, don't you see the way she stares at you?", Uche repeated as she turned and stared at Ade, who was busy reading his book. "Alright, I'll meet her for the assignment later today, right?", Ade asked. "Of course, through that way you can...",replied Uche as he made a love sign with his fingers. They both laughed hilariously which stirred up the librarian's patience who ordered them to keep quiet.

"Bbrring!", the school bell rang for end of classes and signalled the students for lunch time. "There she is Ade, go hook up with her.", Uche said as he pushed him gently towards Jennifer. "Um... Hi..", Ade said feeling nervous. "Oh, hi..", said Jennifer as she packed her books into her bag. "Um... Could you meet up at the library later today...", Ade said as he saw Uche gesticulating different signs to him. "Yes, about what?",said Jennifer as she noticed Ade has been looking away for a while.
"Sorry, my bad.... I mean can we meet at the library later today so we can finish our assignment on History.", he said looking shy. "Oh, that assignment...", Jennifer said as she carried her bag, "I've done it last week, and tomorrow's the deadline right?" Ade nodded. "Alright then, I'll help you. See you tonight bye.", said Jennifer as she walked to the door. "Guy, that was awesome!", Uche said as he tapped him on his shoulders. "Yeah...", said Ade,"I've never talked to a girl this long before, it seems I fucked up." "No, you didn't... Now let's get to the dining, shall we?", Uche urged his friend.
"Hey, loser!", yelled Achigbo, the school bully who was fond of picking on little boys,"I'm talking to you Ade!" "Oh, not again", Uche mumbled as they approached the door of the dining hall. "You need to respect him Uche, remember he's in SS3 and we're in SS1, sides, he's the dining prefect", Ade said with a tone of fear and respect.
"How much you got in those pockets?", said Achigbo as he gripped Ade hard by the shirt, "Remember this is a boarding school, Mama and Papa ain't gonna save you", he laughed as Uche cut in,"Shut it, you pipsqueak!" "How dare you?!", fired back the dining prefect,"You dare yell back at me?!" "It's there in the school rules, don't oppress your juniors", Uche added boldly. "You know what, remember we're outside so the students can't hear anything except the clanking of plates and spoons, so I'll have enough time to deal mercilessly with you both."
He hasn't finished as the dining master burst into the frenzy and punished Achigbo mercilessly. "I overheard the conversation and called on Mr. Audu before anything could get out of hand.",said Jennifer from the stairs. "Oh thanks Jennifer", Ade said feeling thankful. "You welcome", she replied as she went into the hall.

The library seemed quiet as the students read their books seriously. Not until the librarian's absence which stirred up noise in which the library prefect was involved. "Ugh, they never stop", sighed Ade as he looked at the window expecting Jennifer to pass by. Then, as expected, she did come in and searched around for Ade. "I'm over here!", he called signalling his hand.
"Oh, there you are.",said Jennifer as she approached him. "Well...", Ade paused as he covered his ears tight from the noise. "So what're we up to tonight?", she asked while positioning herself close to him. "Uhm... Explain Yoruba Mythology in full details", he said turning the pages of his textbook. "This won't help...", said Jennifer as she went to the shelf, she returned in no time with a history textbook. It was titled, "The Olodumare" which means "Almighty God" in Yoruba language.
"Through the use of this book, I was able to solve the assignment", Jennifer said as she dropped the book on the table. "Woah!", Ade exclaimed as he turned the pages,"This is in details..." "Yeah, but there is something you should know", she said. "What is it, Jennifer?", he asked feeling anxious. "Oh c'mon...", she smiled, "Call me Jenny, I prefer that.." "Oh... Um... Ok... So what was it you wanted to tell me?", Ade asked looking confused.
"Never mind", said Jennifer as she brought her face closer to him, "Meet me at the tree close to the school store tomorrow, by 7pm, there is something important we need to discuss." "Uh... Ok... Yeah, sure.", he said as she kissed him on the forehead. "Don't be late", she added as she left the library. "She pecked me....", Ade was lost in thought as Uche jumped into the scene, "Hey, bro, how did it go?" Ade shook suddenly,"Geez, You startled me!" "Sorry bro, I was just asking, didn't mean to...", "...It went well", he cut in as he searched the pages of the textbook. "Alright then, in case you need me, I'm at SS2A", said Uche as he went to meet one of his hook-up babes. "Ugh...", Ade sighed,"Guys never change."
