Kayla was obviously having trouble talking to Trevor. That was good. I mean not for her, but at least it meant she didn't like him...less competition. "Well, I know that yesterday we, uh, we were talking about how good friends we were," her face had a red tint and she was subconsciously playing with her ring- she always wears a silver purity ring on her right hand- [so hot]. She kept glancing at the ground unable to hold eye contact with Trevor.

"But for awhile now I, um, I have had a big crush on you." [Damn, I almost wish I was Trevor] She spoke so quickly that I barely understood her. But I got it. Apparently Trevor did, too.

"Oh.Um.I.um." he turned to me. [No way! Trevor stop looking at me! She gonna figure it out! It's just a dare; calm down man!]

"But.he.I.but.how.um.so.um.uh." I could see Kayla cracking. She's gonna tell him- "It was a dare!" -called it! Sometimes I can just read her like a book.

"Aww!" Jc chimed. Well at least someone was enjoying the show.

"What?" Trevor let out a breath. [Ya... I take back what I said about being Trevor now]

"Kian dared me to say that. I don't actually like you. I mean I like you... But as a friend. I mean it's not like you're ugly or-" Kian cut her off, obviously bored of her ramble, "We get it."

"Sorry." Kayla apologized. Yep. She does that. Whenever she's nervous. And shit it is hot. How does she not see it?

Kian opened his mouth to speak, but Ricky beat him to it, "Your turn, Juliet." He teased at her amazing romance skills.

Kayla eyed the group picking out her 'victim'. "Um... Hmm. Sam. Truth or dare?" Her eyes locked onto mine. I pretty much melted. [Don't let her know Sam. She doesn't like you Sam. Get over her already] But I couldn't. I haven't for a year.

"Me?" I asked praying she would choose someone else. "Yeah. You're name's Sam right?"

I couldn't do it. I wasn't in the mood. I was too busy thinking of how I'll never be good enough for the one girl that matters. [Well damn that sounded cheesy, but it's true.]

"Truth." I murmured suddenly wanting nothing more than sleep. Her face softened as her blue - green eyes searched my own brown ones.

"Truth?" She confirmed obviously hoping she misheard. "Um. Yeah." I know our little group had tradition of reserving 'truth' for the depressed, and honestly I was, but I was assuming no one would notice.

I just wish I had a chance with Kayla.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" She asked honestly. "Is that my truth?" I joked weakly giving her time to change her mind. But I know she won't. She cares too much. It's actually pretty cute. It almost makes you feel like she's the one constantly obsessing over you. [F#ck! I seriously need to stop!]

"No, take a break from the game." She gave a slight smile. I could tell she was trying to make me feel better. "Sure," I agree and wait for her question.

"Alone..." She trails of. Only then did I remember the other people in the room. They were all watching intently in absolute silence, well almost, Emily leaned over and whispered to Jc.

I instantly felt my cheeks grow hot. I've been waiting for her to ask me something like this for forever... Now that it's happening, I'm not sure I won't faint or something. [Yes, that's right ladies, guys get those damned little butterflies, too]

Kayla stands and patiently watches me. Trying to play it cool I force down my nerves and get up. Soon after I am again flooded by butterflies. [What was she gonna say? Was it good? ...what if it wasn't?] Thinking of the bad made me wobbly, like I might fall on Ricky or somethin'.

Realizing my state of immobility I looked at Kayla reluctantly. [If you make me move, I'm gonna pass out] I thought to myself wished for nothing more than my head to stop spinning and to be alone with Kayla.

Kayla stared at me, not seeming to understand my position. She looked as if she was going to say something but she held her tongue. Leaning forward and grasping my arm she began to pull me outside which in turn caused the group to erupt in a chorus of whistles and 'ooOOoo's.

I didn't resist her touch. Infact I was rather grateful she could lead the way; not allowing me to black out.

Before being fully dragged outside, I managed to catch a glance backwards to see Emily on her feet dancing while Jc, Ricky and Trevor whispered amongst themselves. Only Kian caught my eyes and he winked at me then stood to join Emily in celebration of "my victory". Then I was pulled into the cold air.
