Ruthless Love

1. My as usual days

The sun was rising up and the birds were singing melodies on the branch of the tree outside the window. As the clock struck seven, alarm started buzzing. A hand came out of the blanket in search of the alarm clock to shut it off and let me sleep. After few seconds a cute puppy faced boy with plumpy pink lips popped from the blanket streching his whole body out to get rid of his sleep.

Park Jimin

I peeked out from the window as I do that everyday and gave a plumpy smile to the sunshine.

''Finally, another bright new day is waiting for you Park Jimin.'' I said jumping out of my bed and arranged my blanket and bed covers to make it tidy. I followed my daily as usual routine -- Brush, Bath, cereal breakfast and got ready for school.

''Bye Laura. I'll be back soon.'' I said Laura goodbye by dropping down some food for her. She is my pet Goldfish. I locked the door and head towardsthe school on my bicycle.

On my way to school, my best friend Kim Taehyung was waiting forme on the bus stop.

''Here you are. You are late, then too ten minutes late.'' He said pointing towards his watch and showing me the time.

''Okay Okay I'm sorry. I'll treat you with an ice-cream after school. Now don't be angry.'' He smiled at my words then we peddaled together for the school. We parked our bicycles inside the school campus and walked to our class.

''Did you find any paying room mates to accompany you???'' Tae used to ask me this question almost everyday when we move to our class, just to start a conversation.

'No, not yet but I've published the TO-LET advertisement on the local daily. I hope someone in need will make a call.'' I explained him what I did so that the two vacant rooms in my home can be occupied.

''Good you did that.'' He agreed to my idea.

Soon we were interrupted by the rich brats of our school. The main one was Jung Hoseok who used to tease me daily mostly everytime.
''Hey Hey everyone look who has just arrived Taehyung and his puppy bitch are here.'' He almost sang those words in joy, everyone present there started laughing at me.

''Hey Hoseok. Just shut your stuff up and leave our way,step aside and stop using those kind of words for Jimin I warn you.'' Taehyung said angrily and he almostgave Hoseok a dead look.

''Leave him Tae. Let's go don't spoil your day by fighting with them. They are useless and don't have other things to do. Ignore them.'' I said glaring at that brat and dragged Tae to get rid of the fight.

''Why did you stop me. I would have taught him a lesson today.'' Tae was still in anger. ''Why he talks like that to you always. What problem he has with you??? I would have punched him hard.''

''He does that becoz I'm not rich like you all and above that I got addmission here on the basis of scholarship and marks that I got previously that's the reason he teases me more.'' I tried to cool down Tae with my explaination but at the same time I was sad though.

''If this is so why don't he behaves same with me??? I won't let anyone to abuse my Bestfriend.'' His words had a point but not conveincing.

''It's becoz you are the son of the Top second business tycoon in Korea and that brat Jung Hoseok's father works under your Dad. He can't afford to abuse you or else his dad hasto pay for that.'' After listening to me he feltbit sad as he saw how he was treated and how was I. I told him to ignore all that stuff and we entered our classroom, soon the classes began.

First period was economics and our subject sir came into the class with a bunch of answer sheets of the exam which he took previous week. Everyone in the class started sighing as they all did'nt want to see the result.

''Good morning sir.'' everyone greets Mr. Liang.

'

'Good morning everyone settle down. As you all have seen that I've brought answer sheets of the test which I took last week, but I'm very sad with the result leaving two students no one has written their exam well. Park Jimin is the rank holder and Kim Taehyung comes second as always. Why don't you all work hard like them,it's a pity on you all.'' A sudden silence is spread all over the classroom. ''Now atleast applaud for them.'' everyone clapped for both of us but they did'nt seem to be happy when they did that.

The periods followed one after the other and finally the day at the school ends.

''Hey do you remember that you owe me a treat, dont tell me that you don't???'' Tae said with a wide smile on his face and moved his eyebrows in up and down motion making weird faces.

''Yaa.. I do remember. Come let's go to nearby ice-cream parlour.'' I said laughing, as it was funny to see his face.

''Good afternoon, which flavour would you like to eat sir???'' The owner greets us with a pleasent smile.

''Two chocolate flavoured ones please.'' Tae ordered on my behalf.

After I made the payment we sat down upon the chairs arranged outside the shop.

''We both have almost the same IQ level but, how come you always come first and I'm left with the second rank.'' He asked with curiosity.

''It's just the game of concentration.'' I said winking at him.

''Concentration huh?? When the heck you get time to study after two to three part-time jobs and returning back home at 10PM, it's almost mid-night.'' He asked with a tone of complain just to see if I was lying.

''Taehyungahh... stop looking like that, why would I lie to you. I told you it's the game of concentration that's it. I just pay attention on what teachers are teaching meanwhile making notes helps me. Before going to bed I just go through the notes and read the taught topic once or twice and hence that gets registered in my mind.'' I told him what I do assuring him that I did'nt lie to him.

''If you say so I'll try it too and if it did'nt work, I'll kill you instead.'' We both laughed with joy at his words. Until then we both threw the cups in the USE ME bin. Soon we wished goodbye and were separeted by our way to home.

''Laura baby I'm back home, did you miss me. Wait I'll bring you some food.'' Sheis the only one who loves me and stays with me after I was left alone. I felt a drop of tear rolled down my cheek but I wiped it off soon and realised that I was getting late. I just prepared a quick-pick lunch and finished it eating as soon as possible. I grabbed my pair of head set, tunned to my favorite playlist and rushed for the part-time job at the super market.
