Chapter 1 - The Exchange Students

-A/N POV-

~7:00 Am~

"Come on slowpokes! Let's go!" A girl yelled. "Shut up, we're coming!," one of the two males yelled. "Why is she so excited?" The skinnier male raised an eye-brow, wondering why she was being so care-free about going to a new school with people different than them. The three were from America and wanted to make their dreams come true by getting into U.A.
They loved watching the sports festivals and watching the pro heroes save people. Even though it was all in Japan, they still enjoyed watching it all the time. America was a lot more dangerous than Japan, but they felt like it would be a change to move to Japan. Their parents didn't let them go at first, but they soon changed their minds and let them follow their dreams. So now they are here at U.A High, ready to start a new day.
They soon made it on campus and went to the principal's office for their schedules and information about the school. The girl knocked on the door and she heard a voice saying, "come in," a second later. She opened the door and the three of them came inside the office. They saw a small white animal in a suit and bowed respectfully before sitting in the chairs. "Welcome to U.A, guys. I'm Principal Nezu and I'm so happy that you decided to come to our school." He looked at the skinnier male first and smiled. "Your name is Cournias right?" The male looked at Principal Nezu and spoke. "Yes, sir." "I see. And you're Jonathan?," he asked as he looked at the other male. The taller and bigger male nodded. "Mhm." Then he looked at the female. "And Liesha, right?" She smiled and nodded. "Yes, sir." Principal Nezu chuckled. "You guys have unique names. Now here is your schedules and I hope you guys have a great time here." The three stood up and bowed, thanking him before leaving the office. Cournias sighed. "I'm nervous..." he mumbled. "Me too." Jonathan agreed. "Now you guys are making me nervous..." Liesha whined. They started walking down the hall and people stared at them. Some stared in awe at how cool and different they looked while some were confused and wondered where they came from. All three of them had the same classes so they went into the same direction with each other to their classroom.

~8:30 Am~

They soon made it to their assigned class. They waited outside until their teacher homeroom teacher, Mr. Aizawa, told them to come in. Liesha looked up at Cournias and Jonathan. "Sooo are you guy excited??" Cournias shrugged. "I don't really know. It's like I'm nervous mixed with excitement." Jonathan shook his head. "Hell no." Liesha shook her head and rolled her eyes. "You'll be okay." "No I won't!-" "You three can come in now." They turned towards the door and Cournias grabbed the door knob and opened the door. "Here we go..." he whispered and walked in. When they all entered, they looked at all of the classmates who were staring at them. The three faced the other students and now...they were all nervous. "Damn...I didn't know that it would be this overwhelming to look at a bunch of students..." Liesha thought. Cournias started to sweat, Liesha started to shake and fiddle with her hands, and Jonathan played with his hair nervously as they stood infront of the class. "Okay, Cournias can go first," Mr. Aizawa spoke, making Cournias tense up. Cournias bowed. "My name is Cournias Doyle and my quirk is Cancellation." Some of the classmates made impressed sounds, indicating that Cournias's quirk is very interesting and cool. He sighed quietly, happy that he got it over with. Liesha's turn was up next. She bowed and spoke. "My name is Liesha Eyong and my quirk is singing paralyzation." She smiled through the pain to try to hide her panicking side. The classmates were also impressed by the girl's quirk. She didn't really need to explain since her quirk was kinda self explanatory. Then lastly, Jonathan. "U-Um..." he mumbled before bowing and started speaking. "M-My name is Jonathan Blackman and my quirk is Head Manipulation." The classmates were kind of scared of Jonathan's quirk, but also thought it was impressive. Mr. Aizawa looked at the three. "I will now assign seats to you three. Cournias you will sit in front of Tokoyami. Jonathan, you will be in front of Bakugou. Then Liesha, you will sit behind Mina." They nodded and went to their assigned seats. Liesha sat down and Mina turned around, smiling nicely. "Hey Liesha! I'm Mina Ashido. Nice to meet you!" She held out her hand and Liesha grabbed it, shaking it gently. "Nice to meet you too." Liesha smiled and was now a little bit less nervous. She turned and said hello to the ones around her which were Kirishima, Kaminari and Asui. Cournias walked to his seat and Tokoyami held out his hand toward Cournias. "I'm Tokoyami Fumikage. Nice to meet you, Cournias." Cournias held out his hand and shook the other's hand with a smile before sitting down. "You too," then greeted Sero, Kirishima, and Kouda in the process. Jonathan, on the other hand, had a different type of encounter. He sat down in front of Bakugou and Bakugou glared at Jonathan. "You're in my way..." he growled. Bakugo expected for Jonathan to respond in such a cowardly way, but what Jonathan actually said shocked him. "Who are you talking to?...," was what he said. Bakugou's eyes widened, shocked at the response. "I'm talking to you, who else would I-" Jonathan turned to him. "I was being sarcastic. Because if you're talking to me then you should've gotten slapped. But since I just met you, I'll let it slide just this once.." "Are you trying to pick a fight with me?!" Jonathan shook his head. "Nah. Just felt like pushing your buttons." After saying those words, he turned back around and said hello to Jirou, Kagakure, and Shouji. Bakugou stood there, angry and upset. "What the hell is up with this guy?..." Bakugou thought. "Wanna be friends?," Jonathan asked, turning to Bakugou with an innocent smile. "Whatever...just don't start being like damn Deku..or I'll get annoyed." Jonathan smiled and turned back around, paying attention to the class. Jonathan, Cournias, and Liesha felt like they were gonna have a great year there.

                                 ~12:30 Pm~

It was now lunch time and the three had already started to like their first day at U.A High. "Liesha! Come sit with us!" Mina grabbed Liesha's hand and dragged her over to Momo and Jirou. "I-okay. I'll see you guys later." She laughed nervously and waved at Cournias and Jonathan. "Looks like they lover her already," Cournias mumbled. Jonathan nodded and agreement and heard a voice calling for them. "Hey! Jonathan, Cournias, over here!" They both turned and saw Kaminari signaling them to come over. He was with Bakugou, Sero, and Kirishima and there were two more seats left for them. Cournias and Jonathan walked over to them and sat down with their food. "So that girl that you guys are with...is she single?- Ow! What the hell?!" Kaminari yelled as Kirishima hit him. Is that what you called us for?" Cournias raised an eyebrow. "N-no it's not. I'm sorry if it seemed that way because of someone. We just want to get to know you guys better." Kirishima said with a smile. Jonathan whispered something to Cournias which made the other's confused and curious. "Should we be concerned?..." Sero asked his friends. Kaminari and Kirishima shrugged. Cournias sighed and shook his head. "Jonathan, at this point..." he mumbled, disappointedly. He then looked up at them. "Sorry. Jonathan was telling me something that I didn't want to hear." He glared at Jonathan. "Hehe sorry..." Jonathan smiled innocently and started eating his food. Liesha was talking with Mina and the other girls about why she came to U.A and how Japan was different from the U.S.A. On the other hand, Cournias, Jonathan, and the other boys were talking about things they liked to do and things they enjoyed. Soon lunch ended and it was time for them to go back to class and continue working.

~3:30 Pm~

School finally ended and it was time to go home for the day. Liesha, Jonathan, and Cournias met up at their lockers before starting to walk home, saying goodbye to everyone. "It was way better than I had expected." Liesha said with a huge smile. Cournias nodded too as well as Jonathan. "Now I'm excited to go to school tomorrow. Usually when it's a weekday for school, we would complain. But now it's different." Cournias shoved his hands in his pocket and looked at the sky. "Maybe everything will be okay." Jonathan crosses his arms. "Maybe? Hell I know it will be okay. Going to this school is the best decision of our lives. It gives me a break from all of the toxic mess we went through..." he sighed. Liesha turned to the two. "Let's just promise each other that our friendship won't break up. Just thinking about the past makes me nervous." Cournias smiled. "Don't worry. It won't. I know won't. We will stay together and always." Jonathan shook his head. "Can't make any promises." Cournias and Liesha stopped in the tracks, glaring at Jonathan. "I was just playing!" The three laughed and soon went home, ready for another day of U.A High.
