Entering the new decade with enthusiasm and waiting to start fresh,
Unaware that the beginning was of nothing but the pandemic heist
Later these eyes turned red, noses wet and immune got weak
Covid-19 dragged lives to death as if a tragic feast
Soon came the month of Feb changing emotions from lovely valentine to lonely quarantine
The theft here was not of money but of ones freedom and well being
Smiles got covered ,hand sanitized and roads lonely and empty
Panic increased, strength decreased and people began fleeing
Days passed ,Situations worsen and solutions got complicated and hard
Doctors left with option not to save lives but only safeguard
Lives messed up, stress increased journey - no longer a happy trampoline
Virus started spreading via human transmission and not only by bats and pangolin
Victims were isolated, countries lockdown still circumstances were not manageable
What started at Wuhan spreaded to Italy and then became the unstoppable
