Eliana screamed as the room fell dark, latching onto her friend. "Dude it's just the lights!" Alisha exclaims, grabbing her phone and switching on the flashlight. The pair turned around quickly, both hearing a door slam shut. "Okay, what the fuck." Alisha mumbles, shining her flashlight towards the dining room. "Maybe it's just Kaia, she did go to the bathroom." Eliana suggests, griping tighter onto Alisha.
"Dude, the lights went out. Knowing her she probably would of fell down the stairs," she snickers in response.
Alisha's eyes go wide in realization, hitting Eliana in the arm, "The lights. Went. Out. Why didn't she scream."
Eliana shrugs, looking back into the dining room. Alisha's light shines downwards as she selects the phone dial. "Uh, what are you doing." Eliana asks, scanning the darkness for any figures, anything that wasnt lit up by the phone light her eyes flickered over. "Calling Kaia, she probably can't find her way around, she's never been here remember?" Alisha explains, lifting the screen to her ear.
The ringing of a phone echoes through the house, both Eliana and Alisha looking up at the ceiling, as if they could see through it. "Alisha, She's uh, she's not picking up." "You don't think?" She says sarcastically, her voices exceeding the normal pitch. "Kaia!" Alisha shouts, echoing like the ringing did. No answer. "Shh, you might wake up, Alyssa." Eliana hisses, remembering that she went to bed earlym Before Alisha could respond to Eliana, multiple thumps came from the stairs, causing Eliana to scream again.
Alisha flicks her flashlight towards the noise, both of them gasping at the scene in front of them. Kaia's body at the bottom of the stairs, blood coating her neck and the top of her shirt. The thick, red liquid also covering the ends of her strawberry blonde hair. "Oh my god," Eliana whispers, her eyes tearing up. Alisha's hand goes to covers her mouth as she gags a bit. She grabs Eliana by the arm, quickly pulling her toward the door. Which happens to be a little bit past Kaia's body. As Alisha and Eliana step over their friends body, a giggle could be heard from the top of the stairs.
Alisha stops dead in her tracks, causing Eliana to run into her. The flashlight speeds towards the second floor, revealing the figure at the top. Alyssa, the once sane girl, now soaked in blood. Red splattered across her face. "Hey bitches. Wanna play?" She asks, before the girls could give an answer she begins to run down the stairs.
Eliana and Alisha break into a sprint, not bothering to try and run out the door, knowing they didn't have a chance of they did. Alisha, did however, turn the lock while running past. They took a left, pushing themselves off the wall after sliding into it. Before continuing their chase down the hallway.
Eliana looks back, seeing how far behind Alyssa was. It was dark, so she could only see the outline of her. Then she noticed, a light reflect off of something in Alyssa's hand, a knife. This made her pick up the speed, her pulling Alisha for once. They took another left, rounding into the dining room. "Dammit!" Alisha exclaims, her hip knicking the oval table.
Even with the pain and the lack of light, she pulls ahead, catching up to Eliana. Another quick left, back into the living room, caused Eliana and Alisha to push themselves even futher, knowing they were almost out the house.
Alyssa, not concerned about them getting away, kept the same pace, being careful of the turns, the walls, and the table. Alisha and Eliana jumped over Kaia, landing hard, Eliana having to touch the floor before recovering.
Alisha grabbed the handle of the door, throwing it open. They both ran out, looking behind to see if they were still being followed. Even without seeing Alyssa, they kept running down the street, adrenaline still not running out. Alyssa, still not out of the house, attempts to keep the chase up. Instead, tripping over Kaia, falling flat out onto the floor.
"Oh shit, Kaia, I'm sorry!" She wheezes, moving her leg off of kaia's waist. Kaia coughs, clutching her abdomen. "That hurt, you dick!" She whines, sitting up, swifting her hair off her face. "Oh my god, your bleeding!" Kaia belted, noticing the difference between the fake, red corn syrup, which was a darker, shinier version of real blood, which was seeping out of Alyssa's arm. The blood that was coming from the wound on her forearm was almost the same color as primary red, just slightly darker.
"Huh, I didn't notice. Guess I was having too much fun." Alyssa laughs before wincing in pain and pushing her arm agaisnt her waist. Kaia uses the railing of the stairs to pull herself up to her feet. She steps past Alyssa and looks out the door. "Do you think They're gonna call the cops?" Kaia inquired, pushing the door open more to let the moonlight shine into the dark house. "Dude, did you see them? They were scared shitless." Alyssa replied, getting up as well.
"We should probably call them." "Yeah, probably." Alyssa mumbled looking down at the cut. It wasn't that deep, but it would probably need stitches. "When the cops get here we should have them take you to the emergency room."
Kaia suggests, sitting herself down onto the front steps of the house. Alyssa nodded, propping herself next to Kaia on the stoop, "This house is new and my mom is gonna kill me." So there they sat, waiting for the cops to get to the house, knowing very well they were called.
"One of the best pranks we've ever pulled." Kaia snickered, resting her head on her hands. Alyssa glanced over at Kaia, "You better fucking believe it."
