INTRODUCTION

THE POEMS TO COME ARE FOR YOU AND FOR ME AND NOT MOST PEOPLE".

                                                                  --- E. E. CUMMINGS -----

A poet is somebody who feels. Who expresses themselves through words what they are feeling. This may sound easy. But it isn't.

For every person, we think, we love, we feel pain, we believe, we trust, we cry, we hope, we breathe...we know ourselves. Or do we?

Poetry is all about feelings. Emotions. It's knowing ourselves so well that no matter what anyone says about us or the type of person that they think we are, we can smile with confidence and say.." No. I know me. And that's not me."   We are tuned into our soul, our mind, our thoughts, our body, our heart, our spirit and what we believe so firmly and deeply that no one can tell us differently.

Anybody can think, can learn, can believe. But we can't be taught how to feel. Why? Because when you start to think or have a thought, or believe and know stuff..you are being just like other people, like everyone else. But the moment you start to feel...you are not like everyone else...but yourself. Because no one can tell you how to feel. Feelings come from you..deep inside yourself. They are apart of who you are and the way God created and made you to be. And no one. No one. Can take that from you.

These poems that you will read are not for you or anyone's liking...but are for me...because they come from me, my thoughts, my feelings, my experiences, my trials, my life. Feelings and situations that you won't understand until you go through them yourself.

I hope you find in my poems something useful that will help you in your life , and that will give you courage, hope, and faith. Remember...whatever you are going through or experiencing in your life (be it anxiety, depression or other mental illnesses or a situation, circumstance, problem, or any of life's happenings) someone somewhere in this world has already gone through it...and...this in it's self can give you comfort knowing that you are not alone. You are loved. You matter. You are important. And you are somebody's someone.
