"No mom, just...", I trailed off not wanting to agree to the fact.
"Okay, don't agree to the fact that you're dressing to impress", mom chirped before disappearing in my closet and coming out with a comfy outfit. Once I wore it, I realised it was pretty casual and normal and I liked it.

"You look beautiful, I'm sure he'll think that too", mom said as I slipping my shoes on.
"Mom!", I whined and stomped my feet.
"So where's he taking you?"
"I don't know, he had said that it'll be a surprise when he had called on the landline"
We still haven't shared our phone numbers. Decided not to do it.
Just then the doorbell rang.
"Must be him", mom said happily and went downstairs. I sprayed my favourite perfume before moving downstairs to see him chatting with my mom.
"Yes aunty, I'll get her home before midnight", he said.
"Nonsense, don't call me aunty now that we're going to be in-laws soon", that cause him to scratch the back of his head and I decided before my mom could fluster him more, I cleared my throat.
"Oh there you are, bye honey, just be sure to use protection if you are doing anything to another level"
"Mom!", I whined out loud.
"What? God only knows what the young generation does these days on their so called dates, didn't you tell me one of the guy had taken to to the hotel--"
"Bye mom!", I said as I slammed the door shut and exhaled loudly.
"Let's go shall we?", He said as he held out his hand, I hesitantly placed my hand in his and followed as he led me to the car.
I stayed silent the whole ride not wanting to bother him by continuously asking him questions about where he was taking me. Soon, I realised that we were nearing a private area where not many people were there luckily and it was a lake.
"So, I thought maybe we could get to know each other more and you know have some nice scenery around us, that's why I chose boat riding around this lake as the sunsets"
"That's good", I mumbled as I stared at the beauty of this place in awe.
