"But it's okay if you leave me. I'm use to it," I said. The pain was becoming unbearable the more I was reminded that nothing ever lasts. People come and go and all you can do is watch. Kai slowly turned around and if my eye sight wasn't so blurry and the room wasn't spinning, I could've sworn Kai's eyes were watering.

"Not everyone will leave you Ryu" he said slowly as he walked over to me and sat right near my head. He lifted my head and placed it on his thigh,

"I hate seeing you like this," now I know he was on the verge of crying. His voice was laced with pain and was very unsteady.

"I thought Jisu was my forever," I mumbled out while turning my body to the side and hugging his thigh. He sighed and combed his fingers through my hair. I gulped down a sob and clenched my eyes tight,

"I don't deserve her. She gave me too many chances to be brave enough to love her outside our place and not hide what we had. But I'm a fucking coward," I hissed out. Tears continued to escape from my eyes and I was too drunk and weak to wipe them away.

"Why can't I be perfect?" I whispered out. Kai let out a breath before wiping my tears off my cheeks,

"You don't have to be perfect to be amazing Ryu. And I can assure you that's what you are. You are amazing." He said. I turned my body to face him again and smiled sadly,

"I don't deserve you Kai," I said. He smiled down at me and playfully flicked my forehead,

"Sucks for you because I'm not going anywhere. Like it or not, you're stuck with me forever monkey," he teased. I chuckled and hiccuped,

"I'm drunk."

"I know and you reek."

"Help me shower?"

"I rather throw you into a pool with soap."

Yeji: hey! I'm currently on my lunch break and was trying to find a good place to eat my packed lunch and found this cool looking park. And I noticed it was across the café so care to join me?

Me: Sure!

"Uh Ryu? Where are we going? The pizza place is that way?" Kai asked. I locked my arms with his and was leading us to the park. I looked up at him and beamed,

"Change of plans, we're having lunch with Yeji at the park," I said in a fake giddy manner. Kai raised his eyebrows and stared at me strangely,

"We?" He asked. I chuckled and nodded, "Yes we, now come on. Yeji's waiting for us near the fountain," I said.

"Ryujin!" I looked over to right and couldn't help the smile that fought its way out when I saw Yeji standing a few feet away from us. She looked too perfect it hurt. She had this white top that showed off her perfect creamy shoulders paired with high waisted blue jeans that hugged and defined her legs perfectly.

Again, perfect.

She smiled her usual eye smile at me and rushed towards us. I could've sworn she skipped a bit but it must be my imagination. But her smile seem to waver and her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion seeing Kai standing beside me,

"Oh, hi Kai," she greeted with a soft smile. One of the corners of her lips twitched. Kai smiled in return and did a tiny salute,

"Hey Yeji," he said. He then looked down at what she was holding in curiosity,

"What's in the basket?" He asked. I looked down at her basket and widened my eyes for a second seeing how it was slightly big. It was big enough to have a whole meal for more than just one person.

Her hands gripped onto the basket for a second before loosening. I met her eyes and it seemed different. It looked distant.

"It's u—uh, my lunch," she awkwardly said while placing the basket behind her back. Kai nodded with a small smile. He then looked over to the side seeing a vending machine and someone selling sandwiches,

"I'll be back, I'm going to buy some food and drinks," and before anyone could say anything or have the chance to say anything else, he swiftly left. It was awkward for a second.

"Didn't know Kai was going to join us," she said. I nervously scratched my head and chuckled,

"It was kind of last minute. I hope you don't mind," I said. She stared at me for a moment before sighing and smiling softly at me. Please don't smile at me like that, my heart can't take the cuteness overload.

"I don't mind. So, shall we?" She asked as she motioned towards a bench near by. I grinned,

"After you," I said. We made our way to the bench and sat next to each other.

"So, what's in the basket?" I asked her. She looked down and slowly opened the basket that lay on her lap. And the moment she did, my eyes widened and my mouth watered,

"No freaking way! Is that mango sticky rice? And Tteokbokki? Oh my Gosh! And that's Bibimbap!" I pointed out in amazement. Yeji blushes in embarrassment,

"Y-yeah. I remember you texting me about how you missed the food your mom cooks for you a-and I guess I wanted to try the food you texted me about," she stammered out quite quickly. I laughed and took the basket from her,

"Well this looks amazing Yeji! I didn't know you can cook and it looks like you basically cooked it to perfection!" I complimented, making her smile down at her hands and hint of pink to coat her smooth pale cheeks. She then took the basket back and grabbed a plate for me. It was quite but peaceful. I looked over where Kai was and breathed in.

Okay, this is my chance. Cupid mode on.

"I bet Kai would love this," I said. She froze for second before humming in response. I frowned and continued,

"What do you think about Kai?" I asked. She looked at me for a second and smilies lightly, "He's nice," she said and I smiled,

"He's cute too right?" She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion then looked down at the basket with a little shrug,

"Yeah I guess."

"He's single too."

"Okay?"

This isn't working.

"You guys should date," I causally said. She froze and places the food down on her lap. She looked over at me with stunned features mixed with something else. Something that made it seemed like someone punched me in the gut. I looked forward with a forced smile,

"I mean you guys look cute together and he likes you so—."

"Unbelievable," she said under her breath with a dry chuckle. I looked over at her and frowned seeing her laughing sarcastically and looking up. She was blinking rapidly as if she was holding her tears back. That sight didn't suit well with me. I go to touch her shoulder,

"Yej? Is everything okay?" I carefully asked but before I could even lay a finger on her she had hastily stood up and turned her back to me,

"U-uh yeah. I just— I thought we were— ugh! Never mind. I have to go," she mumbled out and quickly grabbed the basket and rushed away. I immediately dropped my jaw and widened my eyes seeing a single tear fall from her cheek when she turned to look back at me for a second.

What. Just. Happened?

"Hey— so like the vending machine wasn't working and I tried kicking to see if it'll work and it did! I got like 5 free drinks and— where's Yeji?"

"I— what the hell?"
