"Thanks Liv. But what about you? What have you been up to?" he asked. "Same old, same old. Writing songs, charity work, and school." Liv said unenthusiastically. "You don't seem too happy. Is something bothering you?" Josh asked. Olivia sighed before speaking, "I don't know. Lately I've just been feeling... lonely. I've just been thinking about my brother lately. I don't know what it is, but I just feel alone like-" "Nobody gets you." Josh said cutting her off. "I know the feeling, but Liv I promise you're not alone. You said I could always talk to me. You can do the same. I'll always be here." he said with a smile. "Thanks Josh." Olivia replied. "What are friends for?" he replied. That one stung to say. He didn't want to be just friends, but he thought she didn't feel the same. That one stung a little for her too. She thought her feelings for him had died after the summer, but maybe they didn't.

Then Josh had an idea. He got up from the bench and held out his hand. "You wanna get out of here?" he asked as Olivia took his hand. "Sure." she said smiling. Just like earlier they ran through the hallways laughing before exiting through the side door of the school. Once they were outside they slowed down to a walk. They walked off the campus and onto the beach. Going to a high school right by the beach had its perks. The two teens took off their shoes and made their way through the sand, sitting near the water.

They sat in a comfortable silence before Josh spoke. "What made you want to skip today?" he asked her. "Sometimes I get tired of being this 'perfect girl' that everyone thinks I am. Sometimes I like getting into a little bit of trouble." she said turning her face towards him.

That's when it clicked. Her feelings for him solidified. She knew then that she still liked him. He felt the same way. Their faces got closer, and Joshua cups her cheek with one hand. Then their lips finally connect. Although she didn't know it, Josh had been longing for this since the summer. It was a long and slow kiss filled with a lot of passion. As they pulled away Josh leaned his forehead against hers.

"God I've been wanting to do that all day." he told her. She smiled at his comment before responding. "Don't worry. It won't be the last." she said before reconnecting their lips.

They walked back into the school hand in hand. This earned multiple stares from people throughout the hall. Girls were jealous of Olivia. Joshua Bassett was easily one of the cutest guys in school. The guys were equally as jealous of Josh. It looks like he had just snatched up the perfect girl.

Josh led Olivia to her locker, so she could grab some things. As she was putting in and taking stuff out, he whispered something in her ear. "Meet me on the roof after school." She blushed as he kissed her cheek and walked away.

The rest of the day seemed to go by slowly for the two of them. During her last period, Olivia seemed to be constantly checking the time. As the final bell rang she was the first one out of the classroom door. She made her way up to the roof. When she got there was no sign of Joshua.

She stood there looking around when a pair of strong arms wrapped around her from behind, picking her up and spinning her around. She giggled as Josh set her down and turned her to face him. She didn't even get a chance to speak before his lips were pressed up against hers. She didn't hesitated to kiss back. Her hands found their way to his curls, and his gripped onto her hips. The kiss deepened quickly as he slipped his tongue into Olivia's mouth. She didn't mind. They made out like that for awhile before Olivia finally pulled away breathless.

"Is that the reason you wanted to meet me up here? Not that I hated it." She said. "No. I actually wanted to ask you something." he replied. "Just sit here and let me speak for a second." He said leading her to the bench. She nodded before he spoke. "Liv, my feelings for you never went away. This summer was the best one of my life, and I know we don't really talk about it, but it made me feel alive. I want to feel that everyday. I don't want this to just be a fling. I want to be with you. I guess what I'm asking is... will you be me girlfriend?" he asked.

Olivia just got up from her seat, wrapped her arms around her neck, and gave him a big hug. "Of course." she whispered in his ear. He hugged her back by the waist tightly. "Good. I don't know what I would've done if you'd said no."

2 1/2 years later...

"...I guess I'm saying I don't not love you
You know, you know, you know"

The thousands of fans in front of Olivia cheered as she finished the song. "Thank you guys so much for an amazing night. I love you all!" she said before walking off the stage. As she made it backstage she immediately fell into Joshua's arms giving him a hug. "You did so good Princess." he whispered to her as they hugged. "Thanks Bubs. That means a lot."

Being on tour was exhausting for Olivia. She loved performing, but she had never been this tired before. The only thing keeping her going was her boyfriend. Every performance, whether he knew it or not, was for him.

As the two made their way to the tour bus, multiple people waited outside to get pictures and videos. She was used to it, but it never failed to make her nervous. She grasped on to Josh's hand as they walked onto the bus. Once the door was closed the two collapsed onto the couch. Olivia leaned her head on his chest as his arm wrapped around her.

"I hate that part." she said referencing all the people trying to get pictures. "I know, but you'll always have me by your side." he replied. She smiled up at him before leaning up and placing a kiss on his jaw. "You know how proud of you I am right? Because I'm so proud of you." he said to her. She just smiled and nods. "I love you so much." she says to him. "I love you more."
