"Three more shots of tequila please."

I asked the bartender in front of me while finishing my last shot. It was currently 3 in the morning and I just got back from my part-time job in the fast-food chain I worked in. It was open 24/7 so my shifts would usually end at this time.

Before the bartender could go get my order, I could see from a far distance a woman in red heading towards me. Fuck, I hope it isn't Yna or someone that I knew. It would be a pain in the ass to explain why I was here right now.

"Serina Alegra! Oh my God!" The woman in red calls my name and stands in front of me, leaning on the counter as she stared at me. "Why are you here!? I thought you were interested in an interview at our company but you didn't come! Nakakahiya!"

Who was this woman again?

Fuck, my head hurts.

I put my hand on my forehead, massaging it slightly in order to ease the pain I was feeling. I didn't seem to have the slightest idea who she was so I leaned back on my chair and crossed my legs, drinking another shot. "Who exactly are you? Please leave me alone."

I honestly didn't want to talk right now. I didn't want to be rude  but I just have too many problems right now and I want to vent out all my frustration into drinking. It has been months since I last got drink and I had no time even in my younger years since I took multiple jobs in order to live properly and support my father's health.

I couldn't find a stable job either.  Job openings and interviews were tough to find so I settled in for the most tiring type of work - having multiple jobs at once. It was draining for me  but it was the best way to get all my bills paid and rent covered for the next few months - sabagay, sanay naman ako sa madaming workload so why not? I've also been submitting my works to big companies but I haven't gotten a word from them so far.

I drink another shot. Fuck this life, honestly.

"This is Janica, Janica Hacherman." She replied as she pursed her lips but I could see from the corner of her lip that she was preventing to laugh, "You contacted me last week because you were desperate for a job."

Janica?

Oh - her.
