It's been 10 years... The Coronavirus has wiped out 3/4 of the worlds population, some say only the strongest survived. The world thrived without us. That's why us humans that are left have adapted to staying inside. Our bodies aren't used to the real sun, to the real air. Yes we open our windows but at risk of what's outside of them.

The world isn't the same. The wildlife took back what was theirs and now there are fields of green everywhere. Endangered species are thriving, zoos are no more, seas are not polluted and neither is the air. The world overall is a haven for plants and animals. Scientists concluded that we were the virus and this was our punishment for killing the earth. People began to theorise that mother nature turned against us and wiped us out to save herself and her world.

The air is now pure, and fresh. There are flowers everywhere you look. Wild animals you'd normally see in cages are living in harmony with their prey. They still hunt and eat them though. Just as much as they hunt us.

The green fields stretch far and high and trees cascade over roads, the roots protrude through the tarmac like a sapling through the soil. We had noticed a sudden bloom in sunflowers as they are a purifier for the soil. They take any poisoned or radioactive soil and clean it, so now all of the power plants and nuclear stations have been over run with plants and it's safe for anything to be near it without it being affected.

Sea levels have lowered and the ice caps have began to freeze again. New flowers have began to grow and new creatures are coming to life. There are roses that grow grapes and little purple flowers that have a little yellow bug inside.

You may be wondering, how does he know this if he hasn't been outside? Well, you see I'm one of the few that have survived the sickness and am immune to it. I go out and document all the new information about the world for future generations to read. I manage to get up close to the new animals and plants and see how they react to different things like threat or see what food they eat. My job very scary at times but also very exciting.
I almost forgot to mention, WiFi doesn't really work anymore, so we rely on writing and talking face to face - obviously 2 meters apart.

All you thought you knew about the world doesn't matter anymore, it's like a new page of a new writing pad! You have to refresh your memory and start with a blank canvas
