introduction

The e.d was quiet than usual, it was a Saturday morning. Normally on a Saturday morning the e.d would be packed with people that were out clubbing or partying on a late Friday night enjoying the time of their lives.

The car brakes stopped violently as Ava Bekker rushed out of her car and ran as fast as she could to get to the best hospital in Chicago

"shit today is my first day working here and im late, what a great first impression".

As she was running into the e.d her face was covered with her blonde golden locks. She heard her keys drop onto the floor and she went to go grab them. As her hands made their way down to the cold hard concrete a mans hand appears out of nowhere. Their hands were both on the keys now.

Ava immediately grabbed the keys and looked up to see the man who had just tried to take her keys. As she lifted her head up to see the man she notices his eyes first. They were looking directly at Ava's hazel warm eyes. They were looking at eachother like they had a connection that nobody else had. It felt like 20 minutes of staring at eachother when finally a bird squawked at them.

The man instantly got up and offered his hand to Ava. Ava accepted it and the man pulled her up.

"Hey I'm Connor"

"Ava"

Ava noticed that he was wearing black scrubs and looked at his chest to see what department he worked at.

"Ah hah you're a cardiothoracic and trauma surgeon, wow impressive".

"You're not from here?" Connor said noticing her accent.

"No I'm from South Africa. Guess we will be seeing eachother a lot more and now if you will excuse me I need to get going"

Connor looked at her back as she made her way to the hospital.

"Well I hope she isnt so mean like Dr Latham". He said to himself
