The Sea

"The Sea?"

 A young boy, no older than 12 asked with genuine curiosity. His long, purple hair extended down to knee length- Accompanied by golden eyes and caramel skin. Alongside him was a bedridden woman, her body covered in black veins that were a vast contrast to her silky and porcelain skin. She was often confused for a doll before falling ill, her luscious black hair now scattered across the small hut as her head laid barren. 

"Yes... A vast expanse of clear blue seas, spreading endlessly as far as the eyes can see. It was where I met your father, and it is where he is now. Adam loved the sea and everything in it-"

The woman was halted when the young boy gritted his teeth and shouted:

"Weren't you from the sea....? If so then why isn't papa here!?"

She was stunned, the child had never once spoken to her like this. The weight of her sickness and the absence of his father, Adam, must finally be taking a toll on the boy.

"There's a myth, my child... That at the heart of the sea- Lies a flower. It can cure any sickness, change any fate. It is all powerful and all useful, not bound by mortal laws or restrictions. An all powerful artifact that your father is searching for... But I suppose after this long he must not have made it."

The woman looked somberly at the ground, recalling the memories of when she first was bedridden. Her husband promised her he would save her, and left on an expedition with members of his former crew- The people who brought her to the land in the first place. 

"This... This flower.... It can heal you? It could bring Papa back? It could make everyone happy?" The young boy clenched his brown trousers, tears welling up at the corners of his eyes.

"Yes, and so much more my child..." She stared at the boy, curious as to why he was asking so many questions.

"The name.. Whats the name?"










"The Flower Born in The Sea Eden... The Wisteria."
