There was a new case and it was pretty cool, Haru, Daisuke and you were appointed to look into this case.

There was this drug mafia due to which an idol died, you saw Haru get worked up over her. You were not gonna lie, that made you feel a bit jealous but you shrugged it off.

You were travelling in the streets of Shinjuku suddenly you heard a voice.

“MOSHI MOSHI this is red panda!”

Haru stopped and pulled you back to look at the men who were playing roles and trying to earn money, you weren’t surprised that Haru wanted to make their labour worth it by watching them.

You were about to drop a few coins into their hat , a hand stopped you. It was Daisuke who put a 10,000 Yen bill inside their hat, your jaw dropped and Haru was angry again, he scolded Daisuke to not to give this much of money as they’ll never do their work at all.

“ Mescaline” Daisuke said as he sniffed the air, the two stopped dead in their tracks and then started to rn. You quickly removed your work heels and ran after them , haru following you.

After running after the two men, you guys finally caught them. You huffed as you weren’t used to running this much and Haru didn’t seem to break a sweat. ‘Fuck what a lucky guy!’

“Kambe, you didn’t even need to come here ya know?! Taking your sweet time to reach us huh?!” you said angrily, now you understood why Haru called him a pain in the ass back then.

“If it wasn’t for me you’d never had known about the mescaline they were smelling of, dear.” Daisuke smirked.
You gave up and three of your brought the men to the office for further investigation.

*in the Metropolitan Police Department office investigation room*

You looked through the mirror of the investigation room hearing Chosuke-san investigate the man and guilt tripping him into telling who sold him the drug. You always admired Cho-san's work ethic but now you decided to go see how Daisuke was going on about with his investigation.

“Hey Haru~ how’s things going with Kambe?”

Haru had literal irk marks on his forehead.
“See for yourself! He’s bribing, I don’t think he’ll get his answers, I’m going to check Cho-san’s investigation progress.”

Haru went away leaving you alone near the window, you were amused at how he bribed the guy into telling him who he got the drugs from.

As soon as Daisuke was about to leave the room you caught his arm, “Mister, you just can’t do this, you need to learn work ethic from Chosuke-san!”
“See dear, money can talk.”

Haru, Cho-san and Daisuke exit their rooms and reveal the same name: Isezaki Yuta. Daisuke's subject happily exclaimed in the background about the money transferred to him.
Haru looked disgusted once again.
