I take a long drink from my freshly made in the microwave cup of green tea. It's hot so I set it down to cool. While I wait I start to do my skincare. I apply the multiples of moisturizer to my skin slowly as if I"m stalling for something. Once I'm done with that simple task I take a sip from my tea.
"Mmm it's cooler, that's better."
I sigh and take a bite of my choice of breakfast, avacado on toast.
I finished my breakfast 20 minutes ago, now it's time for my morning yoga. I follow along with the video as I do everyday. After I pause the video, I sit a stare at a wall and I start to think.
Is this all I'm going to do everyday for the rest of my fucking life. Just wake up,eat, drink, yoga, school work, go to work, excercise, eat and drink some more, skincare then go to bed just to do that all over again. I'm tired of doing nothing that affects my future everyday, at this point I think I might just go bonkers. I want to live my dream, I want to get an apartment to myself that has brown wallpaper and the appliences look like they're antique. I want to have bookshelves crowd my living room and have a record player in the corner. I want to live somewhere cold that has many cafes.
I sigh to myself. "Maybe one day, but not today."
I sit back at my vanity and apply my make up for the day.
I grab my keys to my apartment and say goodbye to my uncle who lives with me. I get into the Uber and make small talk with the driver who seems very kind. Once I get to work I go on autopilot. Nobody really talks to me at work which I'm thankful for, I don't even know what I would say most of these people are either older than me or we have none of the same intrest as me. I occansionally say the polite hi,hello, how are you,I'm doing good etc. These people are very nice we just don't have any common intrest.
I decide to go to a cafe on my lunch break. I walk in and the place smells amazing. I absolutly adore the smell of coffee. I walk into the line that forms at the counter up front. It's finally my turn I go to look up at the worker at the counter planning on saying my order that I practiced in my head multiple times before it was my turn.
Wow, pretty lady.
"Hi, how can I help you today ma'm?" said the gorgeous lady with the cutest nose I have ever seen.
"Um can I get a  venti white mocha cold brew please?" I said with one of my best smiles.
"Of course, can I get a name for the order and is it for here or to go?" Iris asked me, I finally decided to look away from her amazing eyes and look at her name tag.
"Uh the order is for Bel and for here please and thank you." I decided to use my nickname because I dislike giving my real name out to strangers.
"Alrighty your drink will be done shortly." she said with the brighest smile on her face.
I smile at her one last time as I go to pick a seat near the back next to a big window. I pull out my phone and decide to scroll on Instagram since I won't get to invested to where I won't hear my name being called.
After a few minutes I hear my name and walk up to pick up my drink.Iris handed it to and we touched hands for a spilt second. As someone who hasn't recived a hug in over a year that spilt second was like a dream.
"Enjoy." she said with a smile that could brighten the darkest room. There I go sounding like a gay roman poet.
I smile to her in thanks and go to sit back down in my spot. I take a quick peak at my label to see if she had spelt my name correctly. To my surprise what I had found along with my correctly spelt name was a phone number, Iris's phone number to be exact along with a side note that read; In hopes that we can maybe get coffee together and I'm not the one making it.
Holy shit, I think I'm gonna get a date with a stunning girl. I smile to myself as I quickly put her phone number in my contacts.
I look at the time and sigh, better head back to work, don't want to be late.
I stand up and head towards the door. "Ma'm?"
I snap my head in the direction the voice came from, my head going a million miles a second thinking if I had did something wrong and slowly getting scared.
"Come back again anytime." Iris said with a kind and warming smile.
I smile back at her and say, " I definitly will." I walk out of the cafe and do my usual walk back to work.
I think I'm going to text her later today. Who knows what could happen?
