There.

Now my clock is set for daylight savings.

Spring forward am I right?

Wait, I have to get up a whole hour earlier? Aw man I forgot about that. I better get to bed.

*Beep Beep Beep Beep*

That must be my alarm.

*Beep Beep*

It sounds.... different though. I'm probably just still half asleep.

*Beep Beep Beep*

How long has this been going on? I should check the time.

Wha-wheres the clock? Where- am I?

This isn't my bedroom. It looks like-

"WHY AM I IN A HOSPITAL?"

"Doctor, he's finally awake"

"W-What? Nurse, how'd I get here?"

"What? You don't know?" She looked puzzled.

"He was asleep when it happened, remember?" The doctor told her.

"Oh right."

The nurse and the doctor started checking my vitals and things like that as they were talking.

"How'd I get here?"

"Well, you see," the doctor started, "there was an accident. During the night of March 9, there was a fire. Your house, and the neighbors' were affected. You never woke up because of the fumes from the smoke, so when we got to you you were in critical condition. You've healed a lot since, though, which is good."

"Well I couldn't of healed that much, right? I mean, I've only been asleep for so long."

As I said that the nurse and the doctor exchanged glances that worries me.

"Doc?"

"Yes?"

"What happened? How long was I out?"

"Well, you see, you were so bad that your body shut down. At first, the only thing that was keeping you alive was the machine. You were in a coma for 7 months."

"SEVEN????"

"I'm afraid so"

"Yes, but thankfully, in that time your body was able to recover significantly, so you'll be able to go home very soon." The nurse tried to reassure me.

"Home? I thought you said it burned down."

"Not fully. And thanks to your family, it was able to be rebuilt, and kept vacant for you."

"Wow. I-can't believe this." I looked up at the nurse and doctor, and their faces were so warm and friendly, I couldn't help but feel a sense of security.

"Your going to be ok." The nurse smiled at me, and I truly believed it.

"Talk about spring forward, am I right?" I laughed with the two of them.

Authors Note: How did y'all like the story? It's a little more "happily ever after" than my usual style, so I'm not sure about it. But I hope you all enjoy it none the less! And besides, I'm kind of proud of myself for thinking of this idea for the prompt, instead of a sci-fi style time travel.
