Chapter 1: In The Summer

🌼More🌼

I sat on a bleacher hoping my friend Annie Thomson would come to get some drinks. Sweats were slipping down my face and so body was exuding. I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath to compose myself as I was looking in the field. A group of male students were playing football in this burning day. Thursday, twenty seven days before the semester ends and so why hell was happening to me literally, H-E-L-L. Five minutes... seven minutes... ten minutes but Anne never came. What's with this girl? Supposedly, it would take three minutes until you arrived at the nearest vending machine. But damn, this girl was turtle-caterpillar-worm slow.

"Summer! You're so hot!," I yelled at the top of my lungs out of frustration that kept piling up one by one. I certainly gave up for this hot damn season.

"I know," A mellow mid coarse voice echoed through my ear and in my curiousity, I moved my head horizontally seeing who that human being was.

"Damn!," That guy, that I wanted to ignore all my life guy. The guy I hated the most. He wore his almighty all white jersey and short matching with his black knee length socks and white sneakers holding his tennis racket. He's sweating like crazy. I guessed he was done training but what the heck was he here after. He sat almost a meter away from me wiping his face fluids with his underneath shirt.

I bit my lower lip as I saw those holy abs popping like boulders. I was just exaggerating, don't mind me. But to be exact, it's yummy. Hold your grip girl, you hate him. Yeah, I hate him.

"I think you need this," He moved closer to where I was as his hand reached with a white handckerchief. He noticed that those sweats were falling through my veins.

"Are you crazy?," As my voice bawled out of suprise.

"What did you say?"

"I mean, your sweats are falling like crazy so you much need it."

"Well, I've got my towel so it's yours," He smirked sitting now half a meter away from me.

Should I take that smirk as a remark or an insult? He's always sarcastic in many ways so I don't care. I then wiped my body fluids. In all fairness, I smelled a feminine lavendred scented perfume. I shrugged in a sudden when I thought he could be a gentleman. Huh! No way! Was it an act of hypocrisy or maybe his real feelings? Wake up! He was just pretending. Yah, he liked it so much when he made ridicule of someone.

"Want some?," This time he offered me a bottled water. Was he a mind reader? He seemed to know what I needed.

Without knowing I grabbed it with my hands. I was so like dog thirsty that I drank it in one go. There was half left when I returned it to him. "Thanks!"

He again smirked. That smirked. The hell with this guy. My eyes were astonishingly pop-up when he too drunk the remained water in bottle where I drank first. Something's not right. Should I confront him for his modesty? I pulled a deep wide confidence to extract my response to his uneasy stance. I stood up to take my chance.

"Sam! Let's go!," As one of his friend called him in not so far away. But before I spoke up and took my chance.....

"See you!," Words that echoed through my ear as I took a glimpse of his back before his complete disappearance.
