Ok. This is my first post, so don't be too hard plz! I'm kind of nervous about sharing my work, so. . . But anyway, some of these poems might be a bit sad, or just really, really random, (I wrote them for English class) BUT, without further ado,

Islands
Every island stands alone.
This island stands tall.
It holds its own.
But the waters slowly swallow the land,
Until there is nothing,
And it can no longer stand.
"No man is an island," they always say.
And they're right — it's lonely out here,
As I seem to fade away.
Like and island, you can only wonder,
"How long,
Until the tide drags me under?"
"How long,
Until I'm not enough to stand?"
"How long,
Before I try, but I just can't?"
A/N: Y'all, if you ever need to talk, don't hesitate to ask me. And if you don't want to talk to me, talk to a SOMEONE. You are NOT wasting their time. And remember YOU ARE WORTH IT! Hope you all enjoyed that poem I wrote instead of sleeping. . .
