Chapter 11 Coach Endou

Guys: "MONSTER-"

*Silence...*

"I said don't go overboard."

Kirara: "Hehe! What are talking about? I didn't!"

"Zadkiel came out, how is that not overboard?"

Kirara: "Details, details. Now come on! Let's go! The Holy Emperor awaits!"

Kirara took my hand and we started running. I look back one more time at those frozen guys who tried "hang out" with us.

Mirai POV

Today, I heard that Coach Kudou got fired and that the soccer club was getting a new coach.

Tenma...

I went with Tenma today at the soccer club.

Tenma: "A new coach..."

"I'll wait at the field okay Tenma?"

Tenma: "Ah... okay see you there Mirai."

Tenma went inside the soccer building. Then I headed for the field.

Coach Kudou...

When everyone came for practice, Shindou-senpai was the only who didn't.

The mood here feels down... I mean I saw the match too when I got home but...

Hayami: "What's going to happen to the soccer club now?"

Kurumada: "Coach Kudou still gave us freedom even when the reins on us were this tight."

Kirino: "But that won't be the same anymore."

Minamisawa: "It's gonna be some guy from Fifth Sector, right? As long as we do whatever he orders, it'll look good on our student records."

Kurumada: "And you're fine with that?!"

Minamisawa: "That's the point of doing soccer in school in the first place, isn't it?"

Kurama: "So it's gonna be the same no matter who comes, is that it?"

A sudden voice came and we all looked up. We couldn't see the person's face too well because the sun was in our eyes. Then they came down to us, and smiled.

Haruna: "It's been a long time!"

Midori: "Who's that?"

"Not sure."

???: "Is this everyone?"

Kirino: "No, the captain is absent."

Endou: "Okay. I'm the Raimon soccer club's coach starting from today, Endou Mamoru."

Everyone: !

Tenma: "Endou Mamoru, the legendary goalkeeper?!"

Endou: "I look forward to working with you all!"

Kurama: "Seriously?"

Kirino: "This is a surprise."

Haruna: "Endou-san, you're the new coach?"

Endou: "Yeah."

Shinsuke: "Awesome, it really is him!"

Tenma: "Yeah! Endou-san teaching us soccer... It's like a dream come true!

"This isn't a dream though right?"

Endou looked towards us and smiled.

Endou: "Here's the schedule after school. We'll practicing at the riverbank grounds."

Sangoku: "The riverbank?"

Kurumada: "Why over there?"

Endou: "You might be able to see something that you wouldn't be able to see from the school grounds."

Kurama: "Something we can't see from the school grounds?"

Hayami: "And why do we need to see something like that?"

Endou: "In order to win."

Minamisawa: "In order to win?"

Everyone starting looking at each other.

Endou: "If we all train together, Raimon will surely get stronger. I'll be waiting!"

Then Coach Endou started leaving.

I frowned.

Tenma: "Um... aren't any of you going?"

Tenma looked towards everyone on the team.

Minamisawa: "I'm out!"

Hayami: "Hey! Minamisawa-san, didn't you say you were just going do whatever they ordered?"

Minamisawa: "It's case by case."

Hamano: "Sure is."

Hayami: "Okay, me too then."

Kurama: "What the heck can you do at the riverbank?"

Tenma: "Didn't Endou-san just say? You might be able to see something that you wouldn't be able to see from the school grounds."

Kurama: "Then if you see something, tell us about it."

Tenma: "But..."

One by one everyone started leaving.

Kurumada: "Let's go."

Sangoku: "Y-Yeah..."

Shinsuke: "What should we do, Tenma?"

Tenma picked up a soccer ball.

Tenma: "Let's go, Shinsuke. I want to learn soccer from Endou-san. I want to get better!"

Shinsuke: "Yeah, me too!"

I smiled.

"Then..."

Tenma: "Oh! Mirai are you joining us too?"

"Eh? No... I was going to say I'm going to go now. Good Luck okay?"

Shinsuke: "Aw."

Tenma: "Okay then... see you back at home..."

I waved bye and started heading home.

"Hm... Endou Mamoru huh?"

Now that I think about it, Kazuya-nii used to talk about him too.

3rd POV

Shirabe walked home after spying on the soccer team.

Shirabe: "I can't believe it... Endou Mamoru..."

Shirabe stopped and shook her head.

Shirabe: "No! Don't go into fangirl mode Shirabe!... I must ask the Holy Emperor about this..."

Shirabe didn't realize it but she had walked to the riverbank that Coach Endou wanted to meet at.

Shirabe: "... Mom said this place was special too..."
