Part 5

"Oh! I like that idea, I just have to do something real quick," I say as I load up minecraft and take a deep breath, pulling up a little square for my face cam in the bottom corner of the stream, earning some reaction from the chat. As I drag the footage from my camera in, my chat starts to go crazy and I watch as Schlatt presumably pulls up my stream as well, smiling as he sees.

As we play I can't help but keep an eye on my own camera footage, trying to make sure that I didn't look stupid and also making sure that my reactions to the things that Schlatt was saying weren't too simp-y.

"Hey, Y/N" Schlatt calls out, his character jumping around at the top of the mine that we had been exploring.

"What's up?" I ask as I go over to join him.

"I swear I'm not a simp, but I got you something." He says, his character turning to face me before spitting out a diamond chest plate and a little white flower.

"That is definitely something a simp would say." I tell him with a laugh as I pick up the items, "Thank you though." I continue, smiling into the camera and watching my chat fill up with 'simp,' not sure if it was directed to me or him at this point. I put on the chest plate as we both awkwardly laugh.

We played for about two hours before I decided to end my stream early. I didn't get a whole lot of content out of it but I felt kind of weird.

"Hey Schlatt, I'm gonna end my stream early." I tell him as I watch his stream on my second monitor. He looks kind of surprised and a little disappointed.

"Oh yeah, that's fine." He tells me, smiling a little at his camera. We say our goodbyes before I leave the voice call and end my stream, leaving me watching Schlatt's stream. He's busy typing away and he left the minecraft server to play some csgo with a few of the misfits who also happened to be streaming. Suddenly, I got a message from him, which was apparently why he had been typing so much.

J: You doing good?

Me: Yeah, facecam streaming is a bit more nerve wracking than I thought

J: I know what you mean haha

Don't worry about it too much though, you look amazing

Me: thank you 😳

J: Of course, want to chat after my stream?

Me: sure :) just tell me when

As we chatted I watched his face cam, seeing him smile a bunch during the short conversation. If I had been streaming while this happened it would have been pretty clear what was going on in my head with how much I was blushing at his messages. I continued to watch his stream for another hour or so before deciding to do some school work.

It was around 7pm when Schlatt messaged me again, saying that Carson had some more information about our PAX trip next week. I checked to see that I was the only one missing from the group voice call and joined quickly.

"Wow, look who finally showed up." Ted said in a fake serious voice as I joined. Noticing that everyone else had their face cams on, I enabled mine as well.

"Took you long enough." Schlatt said quietly, joining in on the joke. Carson hushed everyone before anyone else could join in on making fun of me.

"Okay, so I have the plan ready." He tells us, "Everyone tries to fly in on the Saturday of the week before PAX so we can hang out and get some videos done, and then everyone can leave after PAX. But, if anyone wants to stay longer, we have the air bnb for a whole other week after the final day of PAX." He tells us, sending a link to what I assume was the bnb in the chat.

"That sounds like fun!" Traves yells out with a huge smile on his face.

"I'm down." Noah says, also smiling a bit. Eventually everyone gives some sign of agreement and Carson draws his attention to the next topic.

"Also, the air bnb has 6 bedrooms and three couches, so we should have enough room. So there's no need for anyone to get a hotel room unless they want to." Carson continues. As he talks I go ahead and book my flight for the morning of the Saturday before PAX, putting me there around the same time as everyone else. Carson continues to talk about something less important for a while and I drift off until he says the word 'party.' It's not necessarily that I like parties or anything like that, but if it was with these guys it was bound to be fun.

Before long, the little meeting is over and I find myself a lot more tired than I should have been after spending the whole day inside by myself. Schlatt must have known just how tired I was, so he told me we could chat and stream tomorrow instead, which was a bit disappointing but probably for the best. There was about four more weeks until I was going to be flying out to meet some of my best friends in person for the first time, and I was more than excited. Not to be cheesy or anything, but I was really excited to see Schlatt, I might have even been the most excited I've been in a really long time.

I'm sorry that this chapter literally sucks, I ran out of motivation and it's pretty clear. Hopefully the next few will be better.
