Sehun knew there was a problem the second he turned into the street Jennie said. They were driving on the rough side of town, surrounded by run-down properties, dim sidewalks, and shady shops. The address he was sent led him to an identical run-down building covered with bad paint jobs trying to hide the vandalism. The streetlights were close to going out and the whole place was just in poor condition.

What the hell is this place? Lisa is crazy rich, why is she staying in this building? Is this the right address? His thoughts run wild inside his head before facing Lisa's side after hearing her bump herself against the car window.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" Sehun tells her as she rubs the side of her temple that hit the glass.

Lisa snorts, "You think I'm cute though."

"No," He huffs, "I think you're annoying."

Shrugging, she responds, "Annoying, cute, tomato, potato."

"That doesn't even— Nevermind." He takes off his seatbelt and flips his phone open to see a new message from Jennie and Jisoo. He types a quick reply to both before turning to face Lisa who's been snoring for the short while he took his eyes away from her.

"No, no, no, don't do," Grabbing both of her shoulders, he shook her violently, "That. Wake up. You can't die here. This is Chanyeol's car, if you die here, he's going to kill me. We also need you for hockey to win tournaments and championships and stuff so stay awake."

Her eyes pry awake and she cups one cheek, outlining the sunken skin, "You have a scar."

"Yeah? You gave it to me, remember? Midget AAA League a few years back, March 27th? The same game where you cost me a scout?"

"Hmm? That wasn't me. I didn't play that day." Lisa shook her head.

It was either she hit her head too hard that she got amnesia or the alcohol made her forget things. Sehun could remember that day like the back of his hand. She played center for the game and crashing on to him so hard he lost consciousness the second he hit the ice. A scout was watching him that day, the scout that was supposed to help bring him to the big leagues, and he got an injury that kept him away from playing for 2 weeks. The 27 jersey with her last name on the back was all that scorched in his mind. Lisa cost him his scout.

Breaking his train of thought, he takes off her seatbelt. "Yeah. Yeah, you're drunk. You need to go home. You're not thinking straight."

"Hmm but I'm not lying."

"Just," Sehun sighs, "Stay still."

He gets out of his seat and slams the car door shut before helping her out, slinging her arm over his shoulders again. Whipping his head up, he finds Lisa's mom waiting for them outside.

"It's been a while, Sehun. Jennie texted me about this, would you mind helping me take her inside?" She asked him sweetly.

Magnus Manoban, Oliver Oh, and Kane Kim (Jennie's side) were all business partners and friends. It was the reason why Sehun, Jennie, and Lisa were all fond of hockey, they all grew up together playing it, driven by their fathers. After Mr. Manoban announced that he was running for Senator, he was framed with embezzlement, was sent to jail, and died in a car crash the day he was released when his innocence was finally confirmed.

After climbing up to the 2nd floor, Mrs. Manoban opens the door to the tiny apartment they resided in. It was almost empty, a few boxes of takeout scattered on the small coffee table. "I'm sorry if it seems a little messy, I wasn't able to clean up today because the landlord was giving me a headache."

He shakes his head to this, "It's okay, Mrs. Manoba—"

"Sehun, I've told you a million times since you were a child. You can call me Aunt Anna. And I'm guessing you have a lot of questions." She tells him before leading her to a room that was almost just as empty if it weren't for the scattered writing materials, modules, and notebooks on one side.

"Just one."

"By all means— lay her down here," She smooths a twin sized mattress. "Ask away."

Putting Lisa down gently on it, he asks, "I just don't understand, why are you staying here? Oh, and she hit her head pretty hard so try to wake her up every 2 hours just in case she has a concussion."

"Thank you," She smiles "And to answer your question, all of our money went down the drain so quickly with the campaign funds, then the lawyers, the bail, and then the funeral. Lisa got an injury some time after that, too."

Anna looks down on her daughter and frowns, "She was going to stop playing hockey but I asked her not to. It was one of the few ways she could still remember her father. It was expensive, but we managed. I spent all my remaining funds on her tuition and sports fees and whatever she was going to need. She wanted to apply for a scholarship but I didn't want her to. All that was left was enough for this." She motioned the room.

"But what about her inheritances?" He asked.

"She doesn't get them until she's 21. She still has a few months to go. I already paid our debts when I sold our house so maybe we can live in a nicer place when we get it but until then, we're settling here."

Unable to find the right words, Sehun bows his head, "I'm sorry."

"Don't be. You have no fault in this. Now," Anna smiles before standing up to face him, rubbing his arms with the same motherly touch she always had, "it's getting late and you need to go home. As much as I enjoyed seeing a familiar face, I don't want you to stay in a place like this."

"Yes, Mrs. Ma— Aunt Anna."

"Take care, okay? Drive safe, please." The last statement was said with a hint of sadness.

Sehun nods, "I will. You take care, too. Both of you."
