Arrietty was a girl aged 10. She was lonely. She lived with her mother. Her dad was at work. She didn't have any friends. But she treated Ren like her friend and her baby brother. You wonder who Ren was. He is an owl. Arrietty found him on the streets.
"Arrietty come here, we're going to eat." said Mother.
Arrietty was too busy feeding Ren. so she screamed: "I'M FEEDING REN, MOM!"
"Hurry then." Mother said. Arrietty hurried to the kitchen. She ate her food so fast that she just swallowed it without chewing. She ran to see if Ren is okay. Ren was super fine. Arrietty was too worried for him. Both, Ren & Arrietty were bored. So Arrietty went outside. A girl was outside too, so Arrietty went near her. "H-hi."she said softly. "Oh hi there! Are you new here?" the girl said.
"Yes, I'm new here." Arrietty said in a shy voice. The girl ran near her and asked her name. "Mine's Sheila!" Sheila said. "Want to be friends?"she said. Arrietty was so happy, that she screamed. "OF COURSE!" she screamed. "Woah there, my parents are still sleeping." Sheila said. "Oops." Arrietty whisphered. Sheila asked what was next to her arm.(Which is Ren.) "Oh that's Ren. " Arrietty answered. "But what is it exactly?" Sheila asked. "An owl." Arrietty answered. "Can I pet it?" asked Sheila. "ARRIETTY, SWEETIE LET'S EAT!" Mother screamed. "Bye Sheila!" Arrietty said. "Bye!" said Sheila.
