Chapter 1

It was the middle of the summer and Stefan is sitting at his desk in his study. Stefan's study was where he would do his work, read, and even write in his journal from time to time. He grabs the newspaper and leans back into his seat. Putting his feet onto his desk. He shakes the newspaper in his hands and begins to read.

"Animal Attacks Spreading".

As Stefan began to read the paper, he then came to realization who the culprits are causing these attacks. Stefan leans forward and bangs his fist against the desk. One thing that people in Mystic Falls don't know is that Stefan has an older brother, but as well that he has been tracking his moves.

Elena: Stefan what is the matter?

Stefan: Elena. When did you get here? I didn't hear you come in.

Stefan gets up and walks over to Elena who is at the doorway. He caresses her face and gives her a passionate kiss on the lips. He pulls away and gives her a smile.

Stefan: There is nothing to worry about.

Elena looks at Stefan and tilts her head with a confused expression on her face. Stefan gives her a sweet smile back. Elena then proceeds to grab his hand and gives him a sweet kiss on his cheek. Stefan grabs his keys that is outside of his study to the left by the front door. He opens the door and she walk out with him right behind her. They hop in the car and head off to school. They are cruising down the road with the windows open. As they are cruising down the road with the wind blowing in their hair they finally arrive at the Mystic Grill. When they walk into the Grill Elena catches her brother Jeremy getting cozy with Vicky Donovan. She walks over to Jeremy and confronts him.

Elena: Jeremy what are you doing here? You are supposed to be in class.
Jeremy: I'm not going back Elena. There isn't anything you could say to me that will change my mind.

Elena grabs Jeremy by the sleeve and pulls him outside of the grill so they could be alone.

Elena: Jeremy why are you blowing school off?
Jeremy: There is no point of it all Elena. Stop bothering me and stay out of my life.
Elena: Jeremy, I'm not going to sit on the sidelines and watch you throw everything away. What about art school?
Jeremy: I'm not going to go to art school. I'm leaving this town for good.

Jeremy marches back into the grill. Stefan walks out a few seconds later. Elena is pacing back and forth until she hears Stefan. She looks up at him. Stefan pulls Elena into a hug. They stay silent in the hug for a few minutes.

Stefan: What happened?
Elena: Jeremy is giving up on school. Stefan, I don't know what to do. He just wants to run away from all his problems.
Stefan: Let me try talking to him. I might be able to get through to him.
Elena: I don't think that will work but alright go ahead.

Stefan walks up the stairs to the grill and holds the door open for Elena. When she walks through the doors, Stefan walks in right behind her.

Stefan: Hey Jeremy do you mind if I talk to you really quick?
Jeremy: I guess. What's up?
Stefan: I heard you don't want to finish summer school?
Jeremy: Yeah there is just no point to it.

Stefan looks into Jeremy's eyes. Stefan's eyes start to dilate first and then Jeremy's.

Stefan: You're going to go back to school with us and finish your classes. You are going to stay on track and finish high school.
Jeremy: Okay. Let's go back to the school and fix this.

Elena squeals and then runs over to Jeremy and hugs him. Jeremy smiles at Elena.

Jeremy: Alright Elena you can get off me now.
