Where's Grace?" I heard Riley say. 'Damn it, they'll think I have been talking to the Careers,'. 'Should I go back or let them find me?' I asked myself. I sighed and got up. CRACK! A twig snapped under my foot. Just my luck! I heard my "Friends" trample through the trees.
"What were you doing?" Riley asked. I decided to answer truthfully. "I had a bad dream, about my sister," I said and I touched the mockingjay feather around my neck. "Like what?" Riley demanded. "Stop being so harsh on her," said Nick. I answered Riley and told everyone about my nightmare.
After I had told them Jaz and Sami looked shocked. "I...I'm so sorry," said Jasmine. "Yeah..." said Sami, not meeting my eyes. I lifted up her chin. "It's not your fault," I told her. She nodded and attempted to smile. I looked at Emilie and she wouldn't meet my gaze. I sighed. My heart was not satisfied but I was to tired to think of how to regain her trust. The trust that I portrayed and stole. I yawned. "Can I go back to sleep now?" I asked. Jasmine nodded. "Yeah, sure," she said.
I snuggled back in my sleeping bag. The warmth consuming me. I drifted into a dreamless sleep.
A scream woke me up and this time I knew whose it was. It was Jasmine's. My eyes snapped open. I looked at the scene unfolding infront of me. Caitlin and Harry were raiding the camp. I scrambled out of my sleeping bag, my eyes never leaving the horrible scene infront of me.
After I had finally got out of my sleeping bag I reached for my bow and quiver, only to find that Caitlin had taken it. She ran over to me and smiled. "Finally awake I see," she said. "It wouldn't be any fun killing you when you were asleep," I sprinted into the woods, but Caitlin didn't bother follow me. I stopped and one word ran through my head. Emilie.
I ran back to camp and saw that Riley, Nick and Emilie were gone, Caitlin and Harry was too and... something that made me cry and vomit at the same time.
Jasmine and Sami were dead.
