Chapter 1

  “Hey Laquin!,” my blond haired friend yelled as I opened my eyes. “W-what koharu?,” I asked shyly as I came out from my thoughts. “Class is starting and you're just chilling in your pajamas in our dorm!,”He exclaimed. I quickly got up “your right! Oh no!,” I flusteredly rummaged through my closet. Pulling together a casual outfit. A blue baggy hoodie, skinny black ripped jeans, a gray t-shirt, and  a beanie to tie it all together. “Great way to start your first year of high school man,” He chuckled. I pouted and hurriedly grabbed my stuff. Throwing all my folders, binders,pencils,markers,and pens in my bag. I put on cologne and deodorant, and put my clothes on. “Hurry! Only 10 minutes before the bell rings!,” Koharu insisted as he swung his bag to his shoulder. I swung my bag on my shoulder and took off towards our dorm door. “Let’s go!,” I said as I rushed out the door koharu closely behind me. 

    Today was my first day of Highschool, Kokusai High school. It was a popular school filled with every kind of kid out there. I was new to this school even though I am a sophomore. I was supposed to be here last year, but there were a few complications. I stumbled down the hall, my glasses sliding off my face a bit. “W-we made it!,” I huffed as I took in a deep breath. “You're in my way,”a cold tone came from behind me, the voice felt familiar. I trembled a bit but stepped away. A tall boy with black hair passed by. He had broad shoulders and light tan skin. He looked like a model, “who’s he?,” I asked as I looked over at Koharu. “He’s Lucifer Takahashi,”Koharu grumbled. My eyes widened “L-lucifer?!,” I asked, my voice trembled as I tried to keep my composure. Is it the same lucifer? From… then?

    “You're such a wimp, Lucifer! I can’t date wimps”, I yelled at lucifer. “B-but… Why?! We promised each other when we were 10 under the c-cherry blossom tree in your backyard! You got down on one knee and asked me to be your boyfriend,”Lucifer cried as he fell to his knees. “Take back your stupid ring!,” Lucifer yelled as he threw the promise ring we had, down on the hard concrete. My eyes watered as I watched him run off, “I’m sorry…,”I whispered . My knees hit the cold concrete of the parking lot. “Are you happy mom? Are...YOU HAPPY NOW?!,” I yelled as I felt my heart tear into millions of pieces. I grabbed the promise ring that lay there in front of me. “It's time for you to forget me…,” I smiled weakly and got up. 

    “Laquin! Are you okay? Come on stay with me, let's get you to class!,” Koharu said, shaking me. I snapped out of it, my eyes watering a bit. “I’m fine, let’s go..,” I said as I followed koharu. He gave me a worried look and grabbed my hand, leading me to my first class, history. The teacher was Yuna Suzaki, I knew her because she taught at my old school. I probably look different from back then though… 

    “There you go buddy! I’m sure someone will have the next class with you, just follow them! I’ll come get you when lunch rolls around,” Koharu smiled as he ran to his class. I took in a deep breath, staring at the wooden door before me. ‘You’ll be okay...just breathe’ I slid the door open. Everyone turned their heads to me. “Oh, students we have a new student, please introduce yourself,” Yuna asked as she gave me a reassuring smile. I slightly smiled back as I closed the door and walked to the front of the class. A few girls gave me winks and some guys smirked. I blushed a little “H-Hi, I’m Laquin ito, It's nice to meet you all… Please take care of me,” I bowed and avoided all eye contact. “Please make sure to treat Laquin nicely, it's his first day after all,”Yuna smiled, I guess she doesn’t remember me at all then… Thank god. “Pick a seat to sit in Laquin,” She insisted.

    I quietly sat down in the first seat I could see. “Treat Laquin nicely,Lucifer,” Yuna scolded. I gulped and looked over at the tall man. This couldn’t be Lucifer...can it? This man’s aura is so dominating while my lucifer was sweet and sensitive. It can’t be him! “Okay student, please turn to page 23 of your history books,” Yuna said with a sweet tone. I quietly flipped open my book. The countless minutes going by as I waited for the bell to ring. “Now answer questions 1-6 tomorrow in class with a partner,” Yuna said as she closed her book and sat in her chair. I sighed and packed up my stuff. My eyes glanced over at Lucifer, “what are you staring at,” Lucifer growled as I flinched. This couldn’t be my Lucifer. He had such a sweet voice before.... I… it can’t be him. “N-nothing,” I stuttered as I looked away. “Hm, you’ve changed Laquin ito,”Lucifer smirked. I looked at him in shock, “H-how did you know I changed?,” I stuttered, fear prominent in my voice. “You had such a cool style back then, always had black and red in your outfits. Not to mention you’ve never had dark blue hair before…,” He smirked at me, sending shivers down my spine. “Hmm~ Scared? The old Laquin was never scared. Always surrounded by others and socializing with everyone. Where did that Laquin go?,” Lucifer asked with a snicker. He walked up to me bending down and whispering in my ear, “Did he leave when… you broke my heart.” Lucifer smirked and gave me a glare before walking out. It was the same lucifer as back then….

Why did we have to meet this way? Why now? How come… my heart still beats for you? Why? Please god tell me, why…

“H-hi are you laquin? I’m Samara Nariko, Nice to meet you,” A cute girl with light pink hair and bright green eyes greeted me with a big smile. “O-oh Hi,yes I’m Laquin, it’s nice to meet you too,” I bowed and gave her a smile back. “Wanna be friends?,” She asked as she looked at the ground. I smiled and nodded , “I would like that.” She looked back up at me and giggled. “Then call me sam! Oh ya, what’s your next class?,” She asked. “Sam it is then, Oh! I have Honors chemistry next,” I said as I rubbed the back of my neck. “Same! What a coincidence quin!,” She giggled and grabbed my hand. Quin? Huh, It reminds me of that time…

    “Hey! Quin, you silly troublemaker come up here!,” Lucifer yelled from the tree house that was built in his backyard. “ You know that I can’t climb,” I pouted as I attempted climbing the rope that led up there. Ow!,” I winced as I fell on my back. I rubbed my back as I got up. “A-are you okay?!,” Lucifer asked as he slid his way down the rope in concern. “I’m fine,” I smiled to reassure him.

Oh how I miss those days. “Hey quin, we’re here silly!,” Sam laughed as she dragged me to a random spot. “Sit here and wait for me, k,” she gave me a thumbs up and ran off into the hallway. I just set my stuff down and pulled out my chemistry folder. “Hey cutie, wanna hang with me for a bit,” I heard a few boys snicker from behind me. I turned around to see a medium height man with dark blue hair and brown eyes approach me. “W-what?,” I stuttered as I got up from my chair. “I said, do you wanna hang with me cutie,” he said in a flirtatious tone. He got close to my face and I blushed a bit. I quickly, but politely said, “Sorry, but I’m already dating someone.” Oh my god, what am I thinking?! I’ve been single for the past six years?! Who am I kidding, no one would date me! “Oh really, who?,” the boy asked as the smirk on his face grew. I started feeling nervous, my heart racing a million miles per second. “Me,” I hear a familiar voice from beside us. I looked over to see Lucifer. He glared at the guy, that glare could kill millions. “O-oh sorry man,” The guy ran away. I let out a deep sigh. “What are you thinking, seducing others, hm?,” Lucifer asked as he walked towards me. “W-what,” I asked confused. “You know you're just a little too cute sometimes,” Lucifer said as he kissed my lips. My eyes widened in shock. I felt myself being pushed up against the table behind me. This was embarrassing… yet I like it. I tried pushing him away to catch my breath. A bright pink clouded my cheeks. I looked up at Lucifer, who was staring at me intensely. “W-what was that for!,” I blushed and sat back in my seat. “I’m sitting next to you,” Lucifer said in a low tone, causing shivers down my spine. “F-fine,” I said looking away. Sam came back, she looked like she just ran a mile. “Uhm Sam are you okay?,” I asked her as she walked over. She looked over at Lucifer and smirked. “Ooooh already aiming for the big boys quin~,” She teased. I responded back flustered, “H-Hey! I-I don’t know what you're talking about sam!” “heh,” She giggled as she sat across from me. “Your mine,got it,” I heard Lucifer say as I turned to see him just inches from my face. I blushed so hardcore, NO this could’nt be my Lucifer! “Okay, class please keep your focus up here,” I looked over to where the voice was being projected from. “I’m Earline Wilkerson, your honors chemistry teacher. Greetings students,” He said as he looked at all of us. As I paid attention I felt someone's hand near my thigh. I looked down at my lap, my eyes widening. My face turned a bright red. I pushed Lucifer's hand off my thigh. “S-stop,” I stuttered as I scooted my chair away from him. He followed me and scooted his chair closer. Why, please tell me why?
