The golden rays of sunshine crept through the curtains and hits Abigail's face, causing her to stir in her sleep.
"Abby! Abby!! Wake up! You're gonna be late for school!" Abigail's mom shouted while frantically making breakfast.
Abigail yawns while checking on her phone. She got up, had her shower and went downstairs for breakfast.
Before heading out to school she kissed her mom goodbye not knowing it was the last time she would ever see her again.
As she stepped out of her front door, she puts on her earphones and quickly pressed play on her usual song playlist.
She marched her way to school taking the same route she had always took. It was just like any day but something felt different.
As she reaches school she continues on her routine but still couldn't shake off the uneasy feelings. She prayed that the day will roll by faster so that she could go back home and chill out.
When the last bell rang, she said her goodbyes to her friends and set out back to her home eagerly. Along the way, police cars sirens were blaring and ambulance came rushing towards her home's direction.
Abby felt her gut tightening and panic starts to surge through her veins. She ran as fast as she could praying that nothing bad has happened.
As she reaches, she felt sick seeing her house was surrounded by people. She bolted into her house, screaming top of her lungs for her mom but a police officer pulled her aside, trying her best to calm Abby down.
The officer's voice was so faint and distant and she couldn't even decipher what she was telling Abby. Her body felt weak and pale when she saw the coroner wrapped up her mother's bloodied body in the body bag.
Only then she realised that blood was splattered all over the kitchen and it was the most gruesome scene she ever witnessed.
The gut wrenching feeling turns into knots and forcing her to run to the bathroom and vomit. As she finishes splashing water over her face, she felt blood draining from her whole body.
On the mirror, written in blood :
I'M COMING FOR YOU, ABIGAIL...
