"So were the chupacabra bones, you found in sixth grade" Ruby says

"It's the only way to save Cesar" Monse says

"What happened to Cesar?" I asked, Monse looked at me and opened her mouth but Jamal covered her mouth before she could speak, she smacked Jamal hand away "you can't tell her!" he whispered

"Why Not?" Monse asked, "Because she's boning Oscar—no offense" Ruby says, "None taken— Wait!? How'd did know about Oscar and I? Did Cesar tell you?" I asked

"No— you guys are just bad at hiding it, and what about saving Cesar?" Ruby asked

"Before he's forced to kill Latrelle" Monse answered him

"Latrelle? Wait! Okay! Someone explain to me what's going on right now!" I demand

"A couple nights ago— Latrelle rolled up on Cesar and I, he pulled out a gun on us, Now Oscar is forcing Cesar to kill him" Monse says

"What! No!— That doesn't sound like Latrelle!" I say

"How you know Latrelle?" Ruby asked

"He's my cousin" I say

"Wait, your related to Latrelle?" Jamal asked

"No— not my real cousin— our parents were friends growing up, I've knowe him since he was in diapers" I say

"Well Per usual, Monse is just overreacting" Ruby says

"He's got a gun—And he has to do it tonight, unless he disappears" Monse says

"This is crazy. If he's got a gun, then why don't we help him now? Why can't he disappear now?" Ruby asked

"To where?" Monse asked

Anywhere!" Ruby says

"That's not a plan.This is the plan" Monse says showing him the piece of paper, Ruby walked over to Monse and takes the paper from her "The guy who jacked RollerWorld left this behind" Monse says

"It's a clue to where the money is" Jamal says

"Ring around the Rosie?—" Ruby started but Monse stopped him "No! The numbers up top. They opened a combo, then we found these numbers" Monse says

"Now we have to figure out, what the new numbers mean" Jamal says

"This is ridiculous, Do you hear yourselves? Numbers leading to more numbers leading to money that definitely doesn't exist. And if it did, somebody would've found it by now" Ruby says

"Or not. It's our only chance at saving Cesar" Monse says

"I just put the numbers in my phone. They're either lottery numbers or extremely unique body measurements" Jamal says, Well, only one is a prime number" Ruby says

"What does that mean?" Jamal asked, "I don't know. I'm just stating a fact. I don't have a math degree" Ruby says

"Wait! Degree!" I blurted out

"Okay Jo and...?" Jamal trailed

"No, she's right—Degrees!, These are coordinates" Monse says

"Let's go!" Jamal says

"Wait! I'm coming with!" I say

"Yeah...No!" Jamal says shaking his head

"Listen I don't want anything to happen to Latrelle and I definitely don't want anything to happen Cesar— so if this RollerWhirl could save Cesar and Latrelle's life! I'm coming whether you like it or not!" I say, "I think she should come" Monse says

"Fine! Let's just go!" Ruby says

We arrived at the park, I follow them to where the parked their bikes, when I looked around beside all the kids and regular people living their lives, I noticed some homeless guys I recognize, i immediately looked away "So what are we looking for?" Monse asked

"Hey Jamal, Do you have a jacket I can borrow?" I asked

"Anything and everything that jumps out. Anything that marks the spot. Maybe something that could be from the '80s
after they pulled off the heist?" He says taking a hoodie out his bag and giving it to me, I put on the hoodie and immediately put on the hood

"I'll take the playground" Jamal says taking a metal detector out of his bag

"I'll take the handball court" Monse says as they walk in different directions while I followed ruby to the park bench

"And I'll babysit the bikes and Google cheap bus tickets. Sorry, I'm still not buying into RollerWorld. You're all crazy" Ruby says

"And you look crazy. Might want to wipe your face" Jamal says throwing ruby some wipes before walking off "I'll look over here" I say walking away

While Monse and Jamal looked for a clue, me and coco hid behind a big tree. I know how it sounds, I beg for them to let me join and now I'm not even helping. But I have to keep myself hidden from those guys or we'll have another problem on our hands.

After a couple minutes goes by I see them regrouping towards Ruby, I got up and made my way to them "I didn't find anything" Jamal says

"Me either" Monse says

"Me too" I lied

"We might have enough to get Cesar to Fresno" Ruby says

"Then what? He lives on the streets?" Monse asked

"No. The Central Valley produces more than just meth. Fresno's actually a bustling agricultural community.There's a plethora of opportunity for him. See?" Ruby says showing us his phone

"Wait. Get up" Jamal say

"No, I'm telling you, Fresno's the answer. If he doesn't want to pick fruit, there's canning, curing, drying, and the largest turkey farm..." Ruby says

"Ugh!" Jamal groans pulling ruby up from his seat, we all bend down to look at the plate on the bench

"That's it"

"The game's afoot—Sherlock Holmes" Monse says

"Oh" Jamal and Ruby says

"That makes total sense. 'Cause cholos love Sherlock Holmes, homes" Ruby says, "Doy 823.8" Monse reads

"Doy 823.8!" Monse repeats herself

"Doyle! Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, It's the Dewey decimal system, I'm a survivalist, Got to know your Deweys." Jamal says

"The library. Let's go!" Monse says

We finally arrived at the library just as they were about to go inside I stopped them "I can't go inside" I say, "why not?" Ruby asked, I pointed at the sign "no pets allowed" I say, "just tie her to a fence!" Jamal says, "I'm not leaving my dog outside by herself!" I say

"C'mon we're running out of time!" Monse says, "okay— I'll just wait for you out here" I say, they nod before running inside. While I take a seat on a bench while coco laid down on the ground.
