Zenitsu X Reader

This is gonna be the first request I'm publishing, because it's a oneshot and oneshots are short.

First of all, this is my first oneshot, I don't know how they really work ;-;

Second of all, this may be a little bit OOC. And it may be not as fluffy and cute as you may think, it's late where I am when I wrote this lmao.

Zenitsu had texted you to meet at this very luxurious restaurant.

You were never a big fan of crowded places, but luckily it wasn't so crowded this time of the year. You wore a light gray dress, frilly for the lower part, and comfortable but fit for the upper part. A lighter gray colored ribbon was attached to the waist part of the dress. There was a one shoulder strap on the right, with a small, gold and white blossom pin attach to it.

Zenitsu and you had walked in the restaurant together, but he disappeared into the restroom after you two had ordered your drinks and meals. You waited silently, for him staring down at your lap while your hands were folded on it.

For what seemed like forever, he came back. You noticed how nervous and antsy he seemed, but it wasn't your first date, so you had no idea why he was so nervous.

The food arrived and you two ate. The two of you talked about regular, couple stuff. You laughed at his jokes, and he watched admiringly at you laughing.

Before the two of you were about to leave, Zenitsu stopped you from walking away. "B-babe.. I want to ask you something."

You stopped and nodded, "Go on ahead, what is it you want to say?"

He looked around nervously before taking a deep breath, "We've been together for roughly eight years, and you've always been kind to me ever since we have met each other."

"See, told you it was."

Zenitsu puffed out his cheeks in defeat, "Fine.. You win..."

You laughed and hugged him, "Don't worry, the more you study, the more smarter you can get. Just keep trying, Zenitsu-kun. You'll the into the habit!"

"Y/N-chan!"

"Oh.. I-i.. I gotta go.." You looked at him and pecked his cheek before running off, "Goodbye!"

That day Zenitsu was left fuming. His emotions just bursted, he couldn't get a hold of them until taking a shower and cooking down. He didn't hate it, it was probably the best moments in his life.

It was just very embarrassing when your family is home and either thought you've seen the unholy or you were just immensely sick.

He bit his bottom him anxiously, a lot of people were whispering around you guys, and having fairly sensitive ears, he could pick up on everything but there was so much going on that he couldn't focus of them. He wanted to only focus on you.

You stood there with wide eyes, feeling stunned. You felt a whole wave of emotions, mixed with "Oh my god, it's finally happening," and happiness. You felt your eyes sting with tears, of joy and relief.

You tried wiping them away, but that just ended up encouraging more buckets of tears. "Thank you, I'm very.. grateful and happy that I met you. I could probably never have this opportunity in any other life I might have.. a-and I ask you.."

At this point you will struggling to hold back sobs, "Will you.. marry me..?"

"..Yes! Yes, of fricking course!" You yelled and wrapped your arms around his shoulders, hugging him tightly. You burried your face in his neck and closed your eyes excitedly, breathing his in light rose scented cologne.

You let go of him, and let him slide the diamond ring onto your finger. It fit perfectly and he laughed happily, wiping a tear away from your face with his thumb.  "You're crying.. a lot, babe."

You can tell he was trying his best not to scream of joy, to cry and hug you like crazy. Possibly start your own family too.. the thought of it made you a little giddy.

You can hear other people cheering and clapping around you guys and you laughed hugging him and burying your face in his chest. "I love you."

That was all it took to have him kiss you affectionately on the lips, you felt like your legs were turning into jelly. He was so gentle with you, but passionate at the same time. And you knew that, for the rest of your guys life, you will stay together. And will stay loyal to each other.
