Ice planet barbarians is exactly as bad as you'd think. To quote my favourite youtuber, Paperbackdreams: "if you've ever been into the idea of boning a member of the blue man group, doctor manhattan, the guy from avatar, megamind, papa smurf, or any other blue dude i've forgotten....can't relate (but i'm not here to shame u whatever floats ur boat) and you might wanna give this one a read lol".
It starts with Georgie and a few others girls being abducted by aliens. They are being tormented and they're (of course) terrified. As if it couldn't get any worse (or better depending on who you're rooting for) their part of the spaceship, I guess, crashes or gets thrown out or something. They quickly find out that they are no longer on earth but the air is breathable. Since Georgie is like super awesome she is the one who has to explore to see if there is anyone who can help them. After one second she gets trapped and passes out. The "man" who caught her was Vektal. He is a seven feet tall, blue man with a tail and horns.
Now it gets weird(er). He starts to go down on her and she wakes up. Like a normal human being she doesn't freak out when this giant blue dude is going to town on your unconscious body. Vektal also happens to have a tribe full of men with no women and Georgie happens to have a spaceship full of women. Perfect match if you ask this clearly insane person.
That is pretty much what happens in the first few pages. I won't spoil too much in case you want to (for some reason) read it.
There isn't much to say about these characters. They have no personality and most of them are creeps (I'm looking at you Raahosh). The world could have been so much more interesting and the story is close to non-existing. To be fair I didn't expect anything more from it.
I did read THREE of the books in this series, on one day. In my defense, I was stuck in quarantine and I had just finished A little life. Boy did that book fuck me up. I would rather read that again then the fourth book in this series. Also yes, the other two books are just as bad as the first one.
But If you still want to read this book I won't stop you but you could spend that time reading A little life instead.
"To be fair, I thought he couldn't make me pregnant if it was interspecies sex."
"A Great Dane can still make a Chihuahua pregnant," Liz points out. "Guess which one you are."
I gave this one out of five stars.
