Chapter 2

I woke up to the smell of coffee and the sound of Aaron's music playing throughout our apartment. I jumped out of my bed, running out to the kitchen.

"WHEN I DIE PUT MY MONEY IN THE GRAVE," I sang as Aaron just laughed, rolling his eyes as I slunk past him, grabbing a mug and pouring myself a cup of coffee.

"Goodmorning to you too," he laughed, putting the eggs he was making onto 2 plates.

"What time are you going to the field?" I smiled as he shrugged, trying to hand me my plate. I just looked at him until he finally let out a soft laugh, placing my plate on the placemat at my seat on the island.

"I think BP is at 3?" He smiled, placing his plate on his placemat as I nodded my head.

"And I have to go?" I smirked as I took a sip of my coffee, Aaron giving me a look that made me laugh.

"Yes," he smirked as someone knocked on our door. I quickly placed my mug down, running to the door, opening it with a big smile on our face.

"Tyler, what are you doing here?" I giggled, as Tyler laughed softly, walking into the apartment.

"I'm sorry, she's like a dog when it comes to guests," Aaron chuckled, from the kitchen.

"I'm actually here for you, Ryno," he gulped, sticking his hands in the pockets of his shorts as I looked at him strangely.

"Okay?" I laughed, crossing my arms as I led him to the kitchen, sitting down on the stool that was at the island. "Shoot," I smiled, looking into Tyler's eyes as he cleared his throat.

"Well, Ryne, you're a girl, so I need your advice," he mumbled, sitting down on the seat next to mine as I nodded my head, laughing softly.

"Yes, I am a girl," I laughed, as Tyler just rolled his eyes.

"Ry, how do I get this girl to like me? I want to invite her to the Yankees dinner on the 1st," he gulped as I smiled brightly, my face lighting up as I looked at him.

"What's her name?" I gasped, smiling brightly as he smiled, pulling out his phone.

"Alexis," he smirked, showing me a picture off of her Instagram.

"Tyler," I smiled, looking up at him. "Alright, here's my advice," I gulped, clearing my throat as I crossed my arms, smirking softly. "My most memorable date was my sophomore year of high school. In my English class, we were talking about what would be our ideal dates because we were doing some weird project. My teacher called on me and I told my idea. That afternoon, my partner, Harry Tompson, texted me to meet him as his house that night to work on our project. When I got there, he completely recreated my ideal date idea, making it something I never forgot. He listened to me and did something he knew I'd enjoy even though I didn't ask him to, make sense?" I smiled as Tyler nodded slowly, giving me a confused face.

"What was this date idea? Just for reference," he gulped as I laughed softly, nodding my head.

"I wanted something cute and cheesy. I said that I would give anything to have a date to be outdoors. I love stars, so I wanted to stargaze with someone, listening to some of my favorite songs. He decorated the bed of his truck with these battery-powered Christmas lights and put a bunch of pillows and blankets in the bed of his truck. He made this playlist with my favorite songs, and we just looked at the sky, talking about our dreams for hours," I smiled as Tyler nodded, smiling softly, Aaron laughing softly.

"That's absolutely adorable," Tyler smiled as I giggled softly, nodding my head.

"Yeah, he was a good kid," I giggled, looking over at Aaron who was just laughing. "Aaron, what are you laughing at?" I smiled as he just shook his head.

"Nothing, I just never thought you were so soft," he winked as I rolled my eyes, looking at my phone as it started ringing.

"I gotta take this, but I'll see you guys tonight," I gulped, answering the phone as I ran into my room.
